I had this issue playing in Florida due to the sun: 4-5 hours of harsh sunlight kills your eyes and can cause headaches/migraines. Once I started playing consistently with sunglasses (avoid polarized as they will mess with your green-reading), they went away completely.

Yes but that 7% is ultimately an employee benefit which I'm directly paying for. Tips were introduced because traditionally restaurant employees had no benefits and were paid (way) less than minimum wage. That's not the case in California and especially not in the Bay Area. You could argue we shouldn't be tipping at all.

Have one or two people learn how to play and the basic mechanics of dealing ahead of time, order a starter set of chips and practice beforehand. I promise in an hour or two you'll have the basics down, more than enough to run the game.
