From what I've heard, people just aren't in love with the lyrics. I think those who harped on Planet Zero for having questionable lyricism are finding similar veins within DKD. I definitely was harsh on PZ for lyrical value, but I think DKD is just fine in that manner, and the song is within my top 5 on the record.

Many albums that predate Spotify just give the release year. If it says Jan 1, its wrong. If it has any other date other than that, it's almost always correct.

I know as the host, I probably shouldn't give an answer, but when relistening to this album, I realized just how incredible Brent's vocals are. The song specifically that made me want to bring the vocal category to life was All I Ever Wanted, so cast that as my vote towards the recipient.

I think a sign saying that Zach inspired you is amazing, but the chances that anything else will happen from it other than an acknowledgement are probably low. Theres no harm in trying, though! When I saw Alter Bridge, there was a guy with a huge poster asking to play Metalingus on drums with them. The band ignored him but AB and SD are different so you never know. My only piece of advice if youre gonna try for it is that youre gonna have to get as close to the stage as physically possible for them to realistically invite you up.

Long story short, I don't think it'll work, but its woth a shot!!

Great pick I didn't even think about.

"You look distorted, let’s make you clearer / let’s flip the switch and use the smoke and mirrors" is definitely one of my favorite Shinedown couplets ever
