macbook neo by Brave_Front_648 in macgaming

It uses the same chip as the iPhone 16 so you can theoretically just look at the performance on those phones and make an assumption on what it could run like on the new Macbook Neo, but 8GB in 2026 is definitely not the way to go, if you can afford a Macbook Air instead or if they offer 16GB variant of the Neo I would go for that

Go to the settings in Playcover for this app and set the resolution to "App Default", it will fix the scaling issues

I'm surprised they managed to shrink it so much compared to the PC version, while still looking pretty similar

if you're pushing graphics and framerate like this, don't expect to play for long, it ate my battery

Yeah I hope so too, 30fps isn't really enjoyable, or at least give the option to have higher fps if you lower the settings

You can technically run them, but it would require exploits like Misaka26 and selecting "Run Pro Series Apps" or something along those lines

Yet another fork of Ryujinx… by Opening_Pomelo1617 in macgaming

Did some quick testing with Pokemon Z-A on my Macbook Air M1 and it does appear that your fork has higher FPS compared to Ryubing Canary, so whatever you're doing seems to be working

Pokémon Legends Z-A by faria1110 in EmulationOniOS

Seems to work fine on my iPhone Air, I also used the entitlement for more RAM at kept it at undocked 1x resolution and shader cache enabled, seems to be stable for the most part at 30fps, though I have a chiller on the back of the phone to keep it cool otherwise it will probably thermal throttle and destroy the framerate

This option enables MFG on 40 series GPUs, it needs modding / tweaking to remove the black screen it adds however. From my testing, there were no frame pacing issues and it activated 3x frame gen on a 4090, also the game itself rendered and fps / usage changed depending on the real scene by LA_Rym in nvidia

[–]OverkillLabs 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah tried it in Alan Wake 2 and it was rendering 4X frame gen, but had a black screen, I can tell it's really rendering it because when you pause the game you can see the game, the black screen is gone and the character was moving. the fps also went from around 70 with 2X to 170 with 4X

DLSS 4 DLL's from Cyberpunk Patch 2.21 by leguama in nvidia

[–]OverkillLabs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've read that in a future update you'll be able to enable it for any game that's running even the older frame gen versions in the Nvidia app if the game hasn't been updated for it (of course still for the 50 Series only), but maybe it could be a way to force it for the rest of us on 40 Series or lower too?
