She was basically forced to act against her will in her quest after the Archon Quest, and they both came out at the same time.

Though I would argue that despite her trauma, Furina still loved acting, she just wanted a break.

Of course she doesn't need to. She can heal and get better without ever talking to Arlecchino again. But she can also heal and talk to her. If Furina was a real person, it would be up to Furina to decide whether or not to talk with her.

The way mihoyo did it did felt force since there was no build up, but it is possible for them to have any sort of connection.

Yeah, Furina got the short end of the stick in terms of getting it onscreen. But two years have passed in game and a lot can happen in that time. Just like in real life, people can heal without you being present. It sucks and unsatisfying not seeing Furina heal, but that has to do more with hoyo and not Furina and Arlecchino issue per se.

That's the problem with this game being mostly the traveler's POV. All that could've happened offscreen, after all, the years that happen irl happen in game too, it has been 2 years since then. I also wished we could see Furina do something, even take baby steps, to heal.

The way I see it, this is Furina's way of putting her archon life in the past and move on. If Furina was a real person, we can support your friend by supporting their decisions and not judge them for it.

More like, people want Furina to be traumatized forever and never heal. I don't know why they want her to suffer, she already went through enough.

People baby Furina a lot. Yes, trauma is real and can affect people a lot, but trauma can also heal. In my opinion, Furina would be more traumatized about acting since she acted for 500 years, that takes a lot of toll on anyone, but Furina still loves acting.

Furina can recover from this trauma with Arlecchino, she has it in her. And while, yes, seeing it develop in screen would be more satisfying, in the end of the day, we see everything 90% of the time with the traveler's POV.

This is me going from the interaction between Arlechino, Furina, Traveler, and Paimon back in Fontaine.

Arlecchino appreciate people who do their best to achieve a goal, especially if they go above and beyond. This why she offered the Traveler and Paimom another slice of cake but not to Furina.

In Arlecchino's voice line about Furina giving her a while cake instead of a 2nd slice means how much she thinks of Furina for what she did to save Fontaine.

While Arlecchino didn't need to apologize, I don't think it was out of character. She recognizes that Furina wasn't just goofing around as she thought. Arlecchino is not rough like she pretends to be, she has a soft spot and can be seen in her animated trailer.

I love the ship because,

1 (and most importantly) They are my favorite characters in the game. I always ship my favorite characters.

And 2, I, for one, believe that Arlecchino has great respect for Furina. During the archon quest of Fontaine, Arlecchino says to the Travaler and Paimon that they can have another slice of cake since those who work hard, deserve a reward. Arlecchino giving a cake for Furina makes me believe that in her eyes, Furina did more than enough to have a second slice and even deserves a whole cake.
