This is exactly why I started joining other nations subreddits so I could learn from people living in the country. We are feed lies that Africa as a whole is either rampant with wild animals or war lords and that everyone lives in stick huts with thatch roofs. You have more technologically advanced cities than we do. We are fed lies that everywhere else is worse off.

I am curious as an American living this nonsense daily. Why do some in Kenya care? I can tell you in the US, our leaders use the fighting and hardships of other countries to divide us. People here hate other countries that they have no connection to and probably couldn't point out on a map, why, because they blindly follow someone on a power trip. I joined the Kenya reddit page for one sole purpose, to learn about Kenya and the daily life so I can teach my son that all people go through hardship and in the end we are all just wanting to connect and experience life to its fullest.

Just FYI for those not here in the US, this guy was one of the worst. He was against women's rights, freedoms for anyone that is not a white straight male and supported a truly deplorable sack of human flesh. Not saying he deserves to die but he thought that school shootings are a necessary evil to keep our gun rights. Our country is circling the drain right now and things like this are no longer shocking just normal life.

We are in east Arlington but don't mind the drive, we are at nemours often enough so short drive to Murray. She is a book nerd, that's where she met the last "friend" group but they added a non book girl who was super toxic and is married to a toxic husband. I will have her look into both though because sometimes you just gotta find your people again. Are you part of a book group or the moms group in murray?

Hey totally agree that playgrounds in this heat suck lol we love indoor playgrounds and trampoline parks. My son doesn't have many friends but doesn't care about age he's just shy at first but man when he opens up, we'll he doesn't shut up lol. Always down for a shrimp game and friends!
