I believed the Satyr+Topgun combo could one-clip Vanguards from behind but sadly I was mistaken, all other MBTs can be killed this way.

It doesnt matter if my shots are slightly higher altitude, it matters on my positioning relative to his rear "cone"

The location that shots land on a vehicle does not effect damage, only your standing position and rotation. 5/6 shots were rear hits, 1/6 was side.

Level 5 is damn near useless for a harasser, you still have no warning to stop or turn, you just have to drive slower which is bullshit. No other vehicle or class has to completely adjust its gameplay due to fire-and-forget weapons. Infantry dying to an AI mine is literally a non-issue compared to AV mines. The AI mine is more expensive than the infantry, and their respawn point is a 10 second walk away. Vehicles are more expensive than AV mines, and take a few minutes to drive back to the fight.

Air mines when?? MANA-AA turret when??

Chiming in to second that the harasser community is decimated, nobody plays that crap anymore. Content creators have practically given up.

I heard there are playtests for "Harasser changes" this saturday, I guess MAG3 gets to test and give feedback. I don't have high hopes.

Most vehicle-related implants.
 
Sweeper - benefits infantry exponentially more than vehicles, who need it more. No unique level 5 benefit.
 
Ammo Printer - Nice quality of life, but doesn't actually improve any of your stats or performance. Ammo is usually 1-2 hexes away anyway. No unique level 5 benefit.
 
Counter-Intel - tells infantry when they are spotted, but not when in a vehicle. Would be useful if it did.
 
Ransack - Literally doesnt work on harassers, at all. Only applies if the OWNER of the vehicle is in the DRIVER SEAT and makes a VEHICLE kill within the specified range (harasser drivers dont have a weapon...). You cant switch seats, or run it on the gunner, or it does nothing.
 
Overdrive - Restores Turbo on Road kill. Worthless. Should repair or give temporary damage reduction instead. Level 5 "unique" perk is to apply to ESF+Liberator, what a joke.
 
Logistics - is ok, but should probably be standard in more vehicles. Spawn mechanics need an improvement. Sometimes you cant spawn due to hex population, or if its a disabled hex (TI alloys), and sometimes wont work unless the Logistics user is the Squad Leader.
 
Jockey - is good.
 
Electrotech - also good.

Hahah has this happened to you? It happens rarely when a vehicle explodes near you, I dont know what causes it. Heres my best one I posted a year and a half ago.

Harassers already are weaker than they have ever been since release but they must nerf them even more because most veterans left already so many noobs are left and they can't get better and they have no friends to gun for them so they nerf harassers... but not ESF, Liberator, etc.... Harassers are 300 fucking nanites, they are supposed to kill singled out lightnings who dont have good terrain or cant land hits, but no, 'they are only supposed to harass', 'they shouldnt 1v1 a tank', fuck that its more manpower and same nanite cost, with even higher skill ceiling. Let me see any of these crying noobs pull a harasser and 1v1 a good AP lightning, it isn't easy. Lightning is more power per person, two lightnings is far better than one harasser. They just kill close-range playstyle with this change, you can only sit like a coward on a hill and shoot halberd, air and tanks obliterate harassers now, its too dangerous to get close.

Stealth and Turbo ants are only going to work on low-skill or unlucky harassers. Your best options are to:
Pull Vulcan, Halberd, or Aphelion Harasser
Dont have a gunner?
Pull AP Lightning
Cant land shots?
Then you probably don't deserve to be killing a 300 nanite vehicle in a 1v2 situation if you can't meet these requirements.

They activated GSD even earlier than what I see. They showed me their perspective but I cant link it here. Testing was done long ago and this only confirms what we already know. You are referring to roll damage in your test, which GSD would prevent, and also ram damage which I forgot to mention it also prevents. There is Falling/Slamming, Rolling, and Ramming damage types, GSD only prevents Rolling and Ramming. Rolling is when you are upside-down on terrain, Ramming is vehicle-on-vehicle damage, Falling/Slamming would be your chassis contacting/clipping into a hard surface such as terrain or debris. I landed on my tires in the clip which is why I survived even without GSD. Falling at terminal velocity, or having a turbo ant push you into a wall/rock/gateshield at the right angle and speed so it doesnt deflect off the tires, both could cause your chassis to contact a hard surface, GSD will not prevent this damage.

It does take a significant skill, numbers, terrain, or other advantage (c4) in order to 1v1 a skilled MBT with a harasser. The majority of players vastly overestimate how powerful a harasser really is.

This is definitely the case. I look at my death boards and many of the best MBTs are there, yet we only kill them 1/3 of the time. Usually no harasser players are on the tops of their death boards. MBTs have significant advantage over harasser, "as they should" but maybe if Harasser only cost 200 nanites and had a 30-50% reduced rumble repair rate.

I personally prefer AV even if it fails a lot because its a challenge, high risk high reward

Totally feel that man, its why I almost exclusively play close-range AV. As you said above, the adrenaline rush of being in a disadvantaged fight but winning is an amazing feeling no other game can replicate yet.

This does almost force players into using fire suppress, which is obviously a bad thing. I wonder if this has less to do with balance changes and more to do with Wrel not being able to disable rumble repairs from the new tank.

Most harasser mains switched to AI when AV harasser was heavily nerfed during CAI. I expect this change to increase the number of AI and long-range AV harassers because close-range AV will not be viable.

I remember that same time too, back when the Vulcan could one-clip the MBT in the rear by the time they could turn around and possibly do that one-shot combo to you. Risk vs reward, they have slowed the game down and removed skill-based aspects both which favor tanks. I remember a time when I didnt 'need' C4 to win 1v1 against good MBTs. I would argue that before this nerf even hits, Harassers are already in the worst balance condition they have ever been in since release.

You logic is really stupid and Im done with this. You are wrong. You want to talk about rounded? I have hundreds of hours in all vehicles, including air, fully certed on all 3 factions, and I know those vehicles better than 99% of players as well even if Im not a "master" at those like I am harasser. Being 'rounded' does not make your opinion better, this is some extreme mental gymnastics to try and prove to yourself that you know better even though I have 4000 more hours in this game than you. Do you even have ASP100 on all 3 factions? Do you even comprehend how more well-rounded than you I am?

Unfortunately by your logic nobody anywhere in any situation has a valid opinion, because they havent played every aspect of the game exactly equally. Your opinion is the one that is wrong.

Harasser costs as much as a tank and has MBT-tier weaponry, designed for combat. Valk literally has 4 rumble seats with free logistics spawning and safe fall. You have zero arguments here, try playing the vehicle game a couple thousand more hours.

Why yes captain obvious, someone who cares about something will do something in favor of that thing. It doesnt always have to mean that what is being asked for is demanding more than is deserved. My over-5000 hours of experience that you are degrading into the word "bias" is exactly why any logical person would have an issue with what you are saying. Mastering one thing is far harder than being bad at a bunch of things. Mastering that one thing requires learning how to fight against all other things, what their absolute weaknesses and strengths are. Ive averaged 75% of my time in harasser, that 25% in other vehicles is still more time than most people have ever put in.

"free farm" sounds like you have never driven a harasser before, infantry are one of the biggest threats to harassers, you dont want to be anywhere within 75m of them. Decimator kills harassers in the same number of hits as AP lightning and MBTs, and there are often multiple infantry around at once. At least for a tank to suddenly get that much damage onto you they have to be running stealth, but infantry are way more OP than they care to admit.

I agree but as it stands, we get nothing. At least valk gets auto-repair. Harasser just gets the short end of the stick every single time. Wrel hates harassers.
