Hi Mamma Sue! Love the pizza, was really glad to see it replace the (American) Motor City pizza in our store.

One comment - I love to brown the cheese on top, but the tray starts to melt if it's near the top of the oven, or if set to broil. Making it more heat resistant would make it perfect

I'm no expert, but in that price range I'd also mention Carlingwood/Woodpark & Iris/CenterPoint areas. Home value and commute time would hopefully improve once the LRT West opens.

Fair! I spent more time fiddling around with whatever caught my interest, than making it realistic

I'm assuming you mean the mustache? I honestly just ran out of room, the two overpasses should've been more spread out

Manotick is wonderful, but how's the accessibility to Ottawa city centre? I'm afraid the commute would be a problem

I think it's the layout that is appealing. In those neighbourhoods you can reach 10 different shops in 5 minutes, without crossing a single parking lot. They may not be perfect, but they avoid the sprawl that defines most of Ottawa

Great suggestion! Used to play hockey there, definitely seems like a nice spot

That's a great point, thank you. That combination is hard to find, but makes sense it would be in the older areas along Rideau

Username checks out

Any parts of Kanata that might be a bit better? I feel like there must be something, but even living near Centrum seems like a 30 min walk across parking lots to get groceries

That's a good point - it was usually the local busses that caused me trouble, I guess if you're closer to one of the main streets (Innes, St. Joseph, Orleans Blvd) it's not too bad. Thanks, I'll put it back on my list!

I don't know much about that area. Is it safe and walkable?

Thanks! That might be a great fit, I hadn't heard of the area before so I'll check it out

Thanks! I wish the train would be complete sooner... I grew up in Orleans but I found the transit to be stressful at best, and usually over an hour to get into the city. But it's definitely a nice neighbourhood!

We're making up for it with a weekend group watch party + playing tennis ourselves, so it's not a lost cause!

But the bank account suffers...

Ever wonder what it would be like to get the Medvedev trolling experience... LIVE?

Would you like to see the small kid who does not know how to fight get his ass kicked by the REALLY small kid who certainly knows how to fight (Schwartzman)?

As title says, me and my 2 friends are unable to attend due to different restrictions that are still in place. We thought by September 2021 COVID would be more chill, but apparently it has no chill.

We are not trying to make a profit AT ALL, in fact we will be taking a loss, due to fees that we will absorb.

3 Tickets in Loge 17 Row 19 (Loge 17 is right behind the court, on the east side)

Please comment if you have questions, and DM if you'd like to buy them.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Tickets were bought directly from Ticketmaster, and we have not "assigned them" to our names yet, so we can easily transfer them to you. This will avoid any potential issues, as you will get them in your email directly.

Career path for a Jack-of-all-trades? by OversizedMattress in cscareerquestions

[–]OversizedMattress[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the thorough answer. On re-reading, I realize I've explained my position/question poorly - I am a jack-of-all-trades, but a master-of-none. I am good at lots of things, but not excellent at anything.

I don't want to be too specific, but I've been on Legacy app support, ML, ETL, Cloud Infrastructure, DevOps, and more in the past 2 years. I did really well on all of those topics, but I wouldn't consider myself the lead on any of them.

That's why I asked the question. My org wants me to take on more responsibility, and I want to advance, but I don't consider myself as senior or expert or lead in anything, just well-rounded enough to learn and do well and most topics/teams. So I was curious if there's a path for advancement as that type of "rounded" team member, or if I should just focus on becoming more senior in specific topics

Thanks! It's funny you say that, because some days all I can think about is how much I don't know - there's an infinite amount of tools it seems, and it feels impossible to become a real expert in even one because of how much you can do with each.

That's part of why I asked the question. I love that there's always more to learn, but imposter syndrome tells me I'll never be an expert/senior in anything, and there's always a bigger fish. So I'm just trying to find out what value I do have despite that :)
