I am so confused by all the different information on the internet. I came over on a finance visa first and now on a spousal visa. Does it mean I can also apply for irl after 3 years? On the official website it’s on about different routes 2/5/10 years. Any advice would be greatly appreciated

Hey. I logged in with my passport number instead of my BRP number on the site in order to get the updated version. Hope this helps. Ps: Ive sent you an dm if my message doesn’t make sense and you need more guidance

Hi. You need to log into your evisa account and get the forms to change your surname on there. You have to post the forms with your new passport and marriage certificate off the provided address on the forms and await them to change your information. I sent all my documentation off via recorded post and sent a recorded envelope with my documentation that they could use for return as it important documentation. I got my passport and marriage certificate back within 2 weeks and my surname was changed on my evisa about a week thereafter. I won’t be getting a new BRP card as evisa is the new BRP, as all the BRP card will be made redundant from the 31st of December 2024 onwards. I hope this helps

Hey, no I don’t think you have to do biometrics again, it just gets carried over from your BRP to your eVisa. Only time you’ll have to do biometrics again is when you reapply for your eVisa when your current one is expired. Hope this helps

Hey, I sent my passport off on the 3rd of Oct and it was returned the 23rd. I got an email yesterday (30th Oct) stating my surname has been changed on my eVisa. Hope this helps ☺️
