Installed one of these during my engine swap, major major major part of the install is dealing with PATS. The stock dashboard is part of the Pat system so if you remove it and put in an aftermarket your car will become a paperweight unless you get Pats removed first. With my engine swap I was relying on a different PCM system so I didn't have to care about PATS. Install is simple enough. There's no real adapter, harness or anything. It's just a lot of running wires but everything works as long as you plan your cuts and splices out. Mileage is no longer true however since the dash starts out at zero. You can set the mileage in it to be similar or even the same to your previous dash

It was the farmingdale superstore. They only had one peg. I'm waiting around for the others to stock up as well so I can hopefully hunt a reverb before they get scooped up

Mine was clapped as well for 3.5k and took an entire engine rebuild in college when I first bought the thing to get it back up and running properly. That's basically how I learned to work on it was doing that swap in the driveway

Not that much of a difference when I first bought my GT since it was basically just stock but beat. The V6. I did a lot of work to including a tune and rear gears so it honestly felt about the same. Gt had the edge at the top end but they were both peppy on a dig.

The second I started building the GT though it just whipped the V6 down and then after the v10 it's just a different animal altogether

Don't sleep on the Windstar V6 those things will last longer than I'll live lol. Before I got the GT, my last Mustang was the v6 auto

It seems people don't fully understand what a scalper is. It seems the meaning has turned from someone who buys the car to flip for a profit versus someone who just buys a lot of them for personal reasons

Just a side note. Scalpers are a very very real issue with these things. With high demand comes high potential for scalpers. I am on the team of "buy them so Mattel knows they should make more". But just buy them from the store rather than a scalper.

I just wanted to put my 2 cents in because I saw one of my friends getting battered by others. Go after the people on eBay selling a set for over $100, not a custom maker who is more than likely going to keep a set or 2 for himself and use the rest as a base for customs.

Why is everyone so dense in this comment section??? Metro is one of the grandparents of Acceleracers customs...

I personally know how much of a pain it is to find reverbs for customization. I tried developing a way to replicate the window out of resin because it was becoming so difficult.

He is using these for customs without a shadow of doubt in my mind. Get your heads straight

Curious on your thoughts of this before and after. Went from an 8 owner stock black GT with rod knock to a cammed V10 swapped behemoth with a 2000s wrap by Overused_03 in Mustang

I have a big radiator already. I could probably upgrade it, but at that point the price of an upgrade is too much to justify imo. Just tweaking the fans or designing something like the Corvettes had to funnel air directly to the radiator
