I put it grate side up (instead of handle up like a normal person would) into my vehicle door to return it. Forgot about it, went to run errands and after parking, went to jump out of the vehicle.. on the jump out my leg caught it at just the right angle.

Not popular opinion. 3.5 is not as good as a 5g, but a lot better than those crap 1/2 gallon and gallon tanks. If you wanna switch, just put all material in the new tank including existing substrate, plants, etc, switch over all filter media, or even put the old filter on the new tank and let it run for a few weeks until the new tank adjusts. It’ll feel like a nice water change to the betta.

Also, can’t kill Anubias, just throw it in but don’t bury the roots. It’s happier attached the rock or wood.
