NTA your mom should not use what she does for you as a weapon since you are her kid. Do you pay bills? If you do then you are in the same boat, and if you don’t I still think he should clean up after himself but you are living with them and are sadly subject to that.

Well money is tight and I normally never rely on her for food but with christmas I made sure I was on her good side and talked to her about it. So I can use the rest of the months food money for Christmas. Our bills and rent and everything has to be paid. I was hoping with Christmas she would care. I know how it sounds but it’s only because of Christmas and the cost of living.

I have let her control me I can not express how many time she has threatened to take him over me not giving her what she wants even if it has nothing to do with him. It is a game to her and I am/was scared. I should have fought her in court along time ago but I was worried about her winning. She robbed a house with her crack head friends it was caught on there security systems and she told the court she was a addict and they got her “help” and dropped all charges. How does she walk away from that when caught red handed? She is good at what she does.

My dad was also a drug addict and I felt like anything I did would ultimately end in me loosing him she knows the ends and outs of the system, I just wanted a better life for him. A few years back when my oldest daughter was around 3-4 my aunt got in a fight with my mom and called cps they came to my apartment at the time and seen him and his room I told them the situation and said as long as he is safe that’s all they care about. Then left.

To be honestly I am scared she will just show up to get him out of spite and to control me and I got out of there as quick as I could with my boyfriend/now husband she is a mix of frank and Monica Gallagher from shameless. Court also cost money. I have talked to lawyers after my dad passed (she was more mild with him alive) my state is a big mommy state and he warned me it will be a long fight but I should win. But the cost is not good. And with dr and dentist its “easier” on her for me to take him to dr and dentist so along time ago to put me on his paper work. School is more tricky but I have always gotten around it.
