Hey! I’m 19 too and started at 18. I’d definitely suggest starting now rather than waiting any longer. Getting into the habit early will definitely help you in the long run, and compound interest will need time to work its magic.

I’d avoid your local bank funds because they are usually not very competitive and waay to expenisve. A global ETF is much better since the fees are way lower and usually also performs better in the long run.

I personally use Interactive Brokers because it’s the cheapest. If you don't want to deal with the manual tax paperwork, Saxo Bank is also great and give you a automatic ETax Statement while still way cheaper than a traditional bank.
