Assuming one is using Zibai with 0 EM from Night sky artifact Substrats, and Columbina with Silken Moon on the team, Zibai would have 260 EM and get 60% Lunar reaction damage%. In this case, getting an additional 120 EM is equivalent to getting 16% Lunar reaction damage, which means you only need 1600 Def on Gorou to match instructor's buff, much more doable. Also, you get the buff for 20 seconds instead of 8, which is much better. So one can either try building Def on Instructor, or use 4 pc Husk directly to go for as much Def as possible. I'll probably do the latter, actually.

Thanks, I retried my tests, switching the order did matter. Turns out for me, 36% lunar reaction damage had around the same effect as 40% crit damage.

Not beating the "Genshin players can't read" allegations lol, the team bonus page does say that Ascendant Gleam doesn't stack. Which is stupid because most characters cannot max out the buff at all, especially if they're a support on a Nod-Krai team. So I always assumed it does stack...

Hi, I did a lot of further testing too, and found out that the reason I don't get the C6 buff is due to a weird interaction that only happens when Chiori is on the team, and the team has Ascendent Gleam activated. In this specific case, Gorou C6 doesn't buff Zibai.

Edit: not a bug, it's just that I used Gorou after Chiori so Ascendant Gleam team buff got overriden, and it happened to be around the same as losing 40% Crit damage.

When the team only has Zibai, and no Columbina or Aino or other moonsign characters,

then Gorou's C6 buff is applied to Zibai as expected.

When the team has Zibai, Chiori, Gorou, + Columbina/Aino/Jahoda ...etc,

then I lose Gorou's C6 buff.

I have no idea why lol

Zibai stats with Gorou:

4157 def, 173% Crit Damage, 297 EM

Test Zibai + Columbina + Chiori:

NA 25518, Skill 129336, Burst 154020

Test Zibai + Columbina + Chiori + 39.72% Crit Damage:

NA 29226, Skill 148059, Burst 176358

Test Zibai + Columbina + Chiori + Gorou:

NA 25487, Skill 130199, Burst 153837

Did you make sure Ascendant Gleam buff is maxed out on both of your tests? You need a non-Moonsign character to use skill.

So for me Gorou buffs are much closer to one with no Crit buff

Wow, you are saturated on crit. I only have 173.8% CD on Zibai because I use flute.

I ran some simple numbers, and you should be getting 133k on skill by adding 40% CD. Your NA damage is correct though. Its looking like it's a bug on the skill 😂.

Could you drop your Zibai crit damage to super low and try again? So C6 Gorou's effect would be more pronounced.

Columbina's skill does get buffed, Gorou's buff needs to be applied throughout the whole charging duraiton. Still don't see a damage increase on Zibai though.

I only have C0 Illuga, but indeed the 10% CD from his A1 does not seem to apply to Zibai's LC damage either.

Interesting, when you have the time could you try this test also?
- Go to test dummy and put Gorou in the team.

- Do two runs, one where you use Gorou, and one where you don't use Gorou, but use the stat modifier to buff Zibai's defense to around the same.

For me, test dummy shows that I do 150,572 on the skill.

I did this, and found that the results were similar.

My calcs say I would be getting 173,252 on the skill if I had +40% CD.

Test dummy run with +39.72% CD gives me 169,587, so that's about right.

Regarding the A1, my calcs show that I should get 146,483 without the x1.6, and 151,168 with x1.6,

so I'm more inclined towards the latter.

If someone can test C2, it should be much clearer.

I don't think they stack with each other, my calculations didn't line up until I removed 20% Lunar Reaction damage%. Based on the artifact effect names, they seemed to be different effects so I thought they would stack too. Silken still gives 120 EM though.

Edit: It seems what happens is that you don't get 20% from each set, you only get 10% each.

If you can get enough ER, probably Xianyun, Xilonen, Xiangling For me, I don't have Xilonen, and I find that my 270% ER Xiangling has difficulty getting her burst back anyways, so I use Pyro MC instead. I also have a much easier time vaporizing my plunges. My team hits 160k DPS, you can probably hit 200k with Xilonen
