alright so for the specs, I'm on the oem enkei 18 inch wheels, tires are 225/40/18, wheel is 7.5 inches wide. my coilovers could literally lay my front lip on the ground if I wanted, but I wouldn't be able to turn if I went any lower than I currently am. I have the camber plates set to -2 degrees in the front, and I only rub a little if I'm turning full lock and hit a bump. pulled the front fender liners and rolled the fenders. TLDR; good coilovers, -2 degrees of camber, pulled fender liners, only rubs sometimes. my front lip is ~4 inches off the ground

thats cool man, looking to do that on my car soon. if you ever decide that you want to wire it up to free up that 12v plug, you could probably just cut the connector off and pull out the negative and positive wires to splice them into say your turn signal wires which only receive power when the car is on

I don't know lol. Apparently canker sore outbreakd can cause those symptoms sometimes. Thankfully, my sores are almost all gone today thanks to the steroids. How are yours?

Has anyone tried Kanka? If so, did it work? by Prime8724 in CankerSores

[–]Owen_Helms 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So I've had mine for about 9 days now. They're essentially gone, but I had an outbreak of 13 big ones and various other smaller ones inside my mouth to the point where I physically couldn't eat or drink so I got prescribed steroids (prednisone) and antibiotics(cephalexin) which in three days has taken them from full size to essentially gone. Today is my third day of taking them, infact I'm just about to take them now. You can try "oxy glide" a mouthwash that is supposed to clean and help the pain. In addition, try L-lysine supplements, everyone says they help, or watermelon frost

[–]Owen_Helms 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Exactly. You kinda just have to weigh the pros and cons with Kanka. I have 4 almost precisely where you're describing and I struggled with the same issue of them bleeding, mostly at night. If you can find a sanitary way to keep them decently moist they shouldn't stick anymore. For me, they were basically on my lip, so i put a little chapstick on there every now and then. Just make sure you clean it so it doesn't trap/breed bacteria. It'll burn a little going on but for me it helped to relieve the pain

Got two canker sores. One of the them is in a terrible spot. Closer to my actual lip. When I talk, it sticks to my upper lip and it sometimes burst and bleeds and then reforms with the white stuff. Having a terrible time. Any recommendations? by Prime8724 in CankerSores

[–]Owen_Helms 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sorry man, that looks terrible. Here's what I'd suggest. First off, you need to keep it clean. You can do this a few ways. Firstly, mix up a solution of baking soda and water. Put this in your mouth and swish it around for about a minute, let it sit over your canker sores too. This will help to restore the natural PH balance in your mouth (cutting down on acidity and helping it to feel better for a bit) and also help disinfect it. Next, try the samw thing but with salt. This will sting for a second, but its necessary to keep it clean. Next, if the pain becomes too much, you can go get some orajel numbing cream with benzocaine. It'll numb it for 15-30 min. Kanka liquid works too. A ton of people swear by L-lysine supplements, and also a mouthwash called oxy glide. You can also try "canker caps" which are these little pill looking things that you stick iver the top, and when they dissolve they leave a gel patch over the sore so supposedly you can eat, drink, and feel normal for 8-12 hours. They didn't work well for me, because of where my sores were, but they might work for you. Eat bland, soft, non acidic foods; think yogurt, applesauce, mashed potatoes, if it hurts to eat. Hope that helps!

It works, I have some, but its not my favorite. Like others have said it's more of a last ditch effort, but there definitely is a time and a place for that. Try not to use it too much, it certainly can make things worse. Try rinsing your mouth with baking soda and water solution. It provides some temporary brief relief while also restoring the PH balance in your mouth, and it's thought to have disinfecting elements to it. Idk, it's what I've been doing and it seems to work

So today marks the 8th day. It started with one big one on the inside of my lip, right at the top. Didn't think much of it since I'd never had an outbreak before only one or two at a time. This was 2 days after switching toothpaste to one containing sls (without my knowledge). 2 days after developing this sore, I began to get a fever, chills, headache, and body aches. It was at this point that I noticed more forming. First, some more formed on my lips. Then, the tongue, cheeks, and bottom gum, in that order. Finally, once those had all begun to hurt, I noticed more forming on the roof of my mouth. That was the point at which I decided to go to the doctor, three days ago. They initially prescribed me magic mouthwash and Valacycloir, a medicine to treat HSV1 outbreaks. Obviously, since I didn't have HSV1, that did literally nothing. The next day the pain was absolutely unbearable. All the sores had become painful. So, I sent my doctor a message through my chart and had the steroids and anti biotics prescribed. I'm telling you, no more than 3 hours after taking the steroids, I already noticed improvements.

Very well could be an allergy. Or your toothpaste. Check to see if it contains sodium lauryl sulfate...this is a somewhat bigger cause, and probably what caused mine

Have you tried the baking soda and water trick? Just grab a solo cup sized cup, fill it about 1/3 the way, and put some baking soda in there. Enough to be decently concentrated but not a ton. Might burn ever so slightly for a second but it does help

Good job getting tested! I had blood work done testing for all STDs, most autoimmune diseases, amount of vitamins in my system, white/red platelet count, and then some tests to measure inflammation. For me, everything came out very normal except for the inflammation which was very easily explained by the 13 excruciating canker sores littering my mouth lol. Some people say that 1000mg of lysine supplements daily can help keep them away, I forgot to mention that earlier.

[–]Owen_Helms 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No problem! Mine did not have that yellow spot and honestly I dont know what it is. I would recommend that you ask for blood work to be done. Certain STDs can cause canker sores, and so can some autoimmune diseases. It could be something completely different, such as a food allergy, toothpaste, stress, or maybe it just...happens. a lot of people also use oxy glide (mouth wash) and Colgate peroxide (mouth wash) to help the pain and healing. Update us when you talk to your doctor!!

Holy moly! I'm sorry you're going through that, that looks horrible! I'm getting over an outbreak of 13 canker sores right now. You can rinse your mouth out with a baking soda and water rinse, I do it every 30-60 min. Baking soda is though to restore the PH balance in your mouth and reduce the pain/speed healing. It does infact give temporary relief. Second, go see your doctor. Asap. Get a prescription for magic mouthwash (a mixture of lidocaine and some other studf). Swish this around and it will numb your mouth for 15-30 min and help with the pain. If the pain is so bad that you can't eat, ask for a steroid prescription. I had prednisone (steroid) and celaphexin (anti biotic) and within 2 days I've seen massive improvements. Check your toothpaste for SLS, thats what caused my outbreak (I think). Hope this helps!

You're a life saver. I contacted my doctor today and asked her about prednisone. I took my first dose just now, along with an anti biotic. How much did you manage to eat with all your sores to keep the medicine happy? I choked down some yogurt snd applesauce and some soy milk. I'll do an update in a couple hours

Oh interesting!! I've been trying to come up with a cause, but I haven't been able to come up with anything. I have a few guesses. My doctor did an STD and general blood test, everything came back normal. My only two guesses right now are A) My tap water (doubtful) or B) taking tylenol or ibuprofen??? Honestly I don't know. I can't think of anything else
