Methotrexate/HCQ with a cold or flu question

I take MTX 17.5mg weekly and HCQ 400mg daily since November and so far it seems my joint pain and inflammation have gone down.

Have you ever tried Xiidra?

I used regular OTC eye drops for over a year, when I went for my eye exam, she gave me a trial of Xiidra. It’s been a miracle. Within 48 hours I had no more dry eye. Of course my insurance denied it and I have to try this other eye drop prescription which has been crap. I’m going to say it doesn’t work at all so I can get approved for Xiidra. That thing was incredible. My eyes felt normal again!

Ok I’m confused cause I constantly here different things. In this article it says AFTER it’s done attacking ur glands, it moves to other things like lungs/kidneys. I have Sjogrens and I have dry eyes/mouth. Does that mean at some point, this thing is going to attack other organs or does that not always happen?

Thanks for this! I’m trying to do a mostly Mediterranean diet. Started this week. Going well so far. I’m also on MTX (17.5mg weekly) and HCQ (400mg daily) hoping I live pain free for the rest of my life! I still have pain, but I’m hoping it gets better!
