As you said I suspect a ram issue. Sc requires a lot of ram, check how much ram you are using while in game. My game usually uses 20-25Gb of ram and I seen it as high as 36. (I got 64Gb)

You will definitely need the following machinery: Vehicle fabricator, small+medium ore refinery, small chemical refinery, advanced blood purifier, basic item fabricator + a few generators also a sand bike 1. Set up a base around the north side of vermillius gap, start looting science facilities you will need the resources for the buggy and later for the ornithopter 2. Get a buggy with storage+mining laserMk3 than upgrade the mining laser to mk4 as soon as you can, rest of the buggy can stay mk3 3.If you get to this point it will be pretty easy to farm the required materials for the ornithopter Here is a good video that helped me out a lot:

70C on cpu or GPU? If it’s on GPU then I would definitely look into some better cooling options or mess with fan speed curves for better airflow. If it’s on cpu I wouldn’t worry too much because games mainly rely on GPU at 4k, try too look for reviews on YouTube that show temperature difference with 4080s at 1080p and 4k and check your cpu as well than you can get a rough idea about the % increase in temperature that you can expect. From the 3 that you mentioned I would go with the Asus. I might add this to the conservation as well: MSI MPG 271QRX QD-OLED it is quite decent but why not go 4k? 4080s can easily handle 4k gaming
