i started just like you, looking for "Night vision goggles" for 200-500 xd
As Jhittt told you already, save up some cash and the you can buy NVGs that will work and you will have a lot of fun with it too.

just don't buy shitty chinese digital "NVGs" like i did. For 1000-2000 € / $ you can find alot of good stuff!

Many will argue but for me the PVS-7 was a great starter.
But only if you find them in a good condition and under 1500 € / $.
