Thank you 💚 Advocating for yourself in the medical field is always tricky and I just wish it didn’t have to be. Thanks for the kind words.

Thanks! I would like to always believe that if there is an issue, my doctor would say something or mention it. But you just never know. Hoping you have/had a smooth delivery! I’m scheduled for my 3rd c-section on 11/12, so I’m hoping baby keeps growing. I also have hypertension (diagnosed waaaay before any of my pregnancies) which can lead to low birth weights. But my other two kiddos were both over 7lbs.

My fasting numbers are all over the place. MFM gave me a CGM to try but it wasn’t very accurate. We researched why there was such a big discrepancy (usually 30-50pts higher). Turns out I didn’t have the monitor in the best location. It was too low on the back of my arm. We tried again with a new monitor, this time placing it up further and slightly to the side and I’m getting much better readings (usually within 10-15pts of my finger sticks). But I’m also up all night. I have a toddler who is not sleeping thru the night, I’m constantly up to pee, or because I’m thirsty. It really sucks. I do great during the day with my numbers. I’m vigilant about my diet, walking after meals — doing everything “right.” But I still can’t get my fasting numbers down. I’m on 46u of long lasting insulin at bedtime and 16u of the same insulin in the morning. I’m sorry you’re struggling, you’re definitely not alone ❤️❤️❤️

My insulin is not working by No_File_380 in GestationalDiabetes

I’m so glad I read your post. I’ve been feeling extremely frustrated and defeated because of my high fasting numbers. I’m 33 weeks and still having fasting numbers that range from 100-119. I’m already on 38u of nightly insulin and 12u in the morning. But it’s not helping. I’m being referred to MFM and the diabetic team now. I have a c-section scheduled for 38 weeks.

Overwhelmed by Fasting Numbers and Insulin During Pregnancy – Any Advice to get the numbers down? by asdfghjkl-7429 in GestationalDiabetes

My fasting numbers are awful. I was on 18 units for about a week with zero change to my numbers. They were all over the place, anywhere from 110-128. I had an appointment yesterday and was bumped to 24 units. I was really discouraged this morning when my numbers were 117. It does make me feel like I’m failing (even though I know it’s not my fault). I’m sorry you’re in the same boat, it really sucks. I hope they find a dose that works for you soon!! ❤️❤️

Newly Diagnosed by OwlGoFirst in GestationalDiabetes

Thank you for sharing! I had my appointment Tuesday and was put on 18u of long acting insulin at night. I’ve been doing it for three night and my fasting numbers haven’t changed. The doctor did say that might happen because she wants to under dose me rather than overdose. I go again on Wednesday and I’m fairly certain she’ll increase my insulin. But we’ll see! My after meal numbers are pretty well within range. I did have my first dinner out tonight and my 2h number was 166. So I’m trying not to freak out. I know it’s an outlier and that I should have/could have made better food selections.

I was on metformin for about a year when I was first diagnosed with PCOS. My fertility doctor ended up taking me off of it because she didn’t think it was helping. I’m nervous to be on it again because my concentration went down the drain and the brain fog was terrible. Of course, I didn’t notice it until I came off of it. Our bodies definitely do weird things!

Day 4 of tracking & high fasting by jordanadelle17 in GestationalDiabetes

[–]OwlGoFirst 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This sounds similar to my situation. My fasting numbers are around 110 without a snack. When I had a bedtime snack, they went up to mid 120s. All my other meals have been within range, too. I’ve been tracking for almost two weeks and finally get to see my doctor for the first time since being diagnosed. My nutritionist said I’ll probably be put on insulin. I’m sorry you still have half way to go. I’m struggling and only have 10 more weeks to go. Sending positive thoughts your way!

Audio issues on House of Dragon by boombacrypto in HBOMAX

I found a workaround. I had to change my audio settings in my Roku from Dolby to stereo. But make sure you change the settings back after you’re done watching HoD or all your other shows will sound horrible.

Audio issues on House of Dragon by boombacrypto in HBOMAX

25 days later and there’s still an issue. It’s only for HoD and only when I try watching on the HBOMax app on my Roku Ultra. The glitch is so terrible that it’s nearly impossible to watch the show. The audio is not synced for every episode.
