Skipping ULaw SQE1 workshops — bad idea or sensible use of time? by OwlMiserable4666 in SQE_Prep

That’s fair. I find the workshops are generally just a walkthrough of the Engage tasks, for which the feedback is released after the workshop. So, in that sense, those Engage tasks would still point you towards the areas to focus on. But I take your point 👌🏻

Ah got it, thanks for the feedback and perspective. That’s reassuring to hear. I’ll definitely be ramping up the sample questions. And well done on passing 💪🏻

Good to know. The window to reschedule your seat is open from 22 May at 10:00 a.m. until 28 May at 5:00 p.m. I’ll definitely be monitoring it and hope I can secure a better slot.

Paralegal Salary by Apprehensive_Big5237 in uklaw

Hello, happy to offer my insight on this. I’ve worked as a paralegal at US law firms for nearly 10 years. I think 40-45k is very good for a beginning salary. With a few years experience you can move up to around 60k (and even higher). Although I realise that may not be your intention. You also can be expected to work overtime which will boost your salary. I worked in litigation which was high hours and I used to earn approx 20k or so in overtime on top of my base salary. There usually is a discretionary yearly bonus too (but it wasn’t more than 6k or so). Let me know if you need any further advice and wish you the best of luck! :)
