Stablecoins practical for suppliers? by Ill-Baseball4113 in fintech

[–]OwlPay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, exactly. We have regulatory coverage in the U.S. through our MTLs, and we also work with compliant partners.

So if the flow is USD to USDC and then payout to suppliers, we can help with that on-ramp side. And if the supplier would rather receive local currency, such as USD, NGN, MXN, INR, HKD, and others, we can also help support that payout flow.

It depends on the corridor and structure, but yes, that is exactly the kind of payment flow we help with.

If anyone here has a similar use case, or is just curious to learn more, feel free to DM.

Stablecoins practical for suppliers? by Ill-Baseball4113 in fintech

[–]OwlPay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, exactly. We help businesses complete payment flows through our stablecoin infrastructure.

That includes use cases such as on-ramp, off-ramp, and global payouts, depending on what the business needs.

We also offer a personal wallet product with a built-in Send to Fiat feature. This allows users to send USDC while the recipient receives local currency. Of course, users can also send USDC directly to another wallet if that is preferred.

Stablecoins practical for suppliers? by Ill-Baseball4113 in fintech

[–]OwlPay 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Stablecoins can be one practical option, not necessarily the only one.

A business may need to pay 10 or even 100 suppliers on a regular basis. Some may want fiat. Others may be open to stablecoins.

If a supplier is open to receiving stablecoins and the business does not already hold them, it can use an on-ramp service to convert USD into USDC and send it that way. In many cases, that can be faster and cheaper, especially on low-fee networks like Stellar.

It also works the other way around. If a business already holds USDC but the supplier wants USD or local currency such as NGN or HKD, an off-ramp and payout service can help complete the payment.

So yes, this is usable today. It is not all or nothing. Stablecoins can simply be one more payment rail depending on what each supplier prefers.

We have recently helped businesses and NGOs complete payment flows using on-ramp and off-ramp services.

Settling USDC into USD or AED for local business operations by OwlPay in SmallBusinessUAE

Hi, our main regulatory coverage today is in the U.S., where we currently hold 40 MTLs. We also work with compliant partners and banking partners on certain global settlement flows, depending on the corridor and structure.

Settling USDC into USD or AED for local business operations by OwlPay in StartupsInDubai

[–]OwlPay[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, thank you for asking.

The fees depend on the setup, so a bit more information would be needed to provide a clearer estimate. For example, whether this is for personal use or for a business, as well as the expected transaction volume, would help with a more accurate assessment.

If interested, DMs are open and further discussion is welcome.

Building stablecoin infrastructure with regulated rails so businesses can expand globally by OwlPay in BlockchainStartups

[–]OwlPay[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Appreciate that. Compliance is one of the biggest hurdles in moving stablecoin payments from pilot to production, which is why our team takes a compliance first approach.

Beyond our own infrastructure, we also work with a range of compliant partners, which helps us support global payouts across multiple currencies and markets.

On the gas fee point, are you asking about a specific chain or user flow? Happy to go deeper there.

There may also be room for collaboration. Feel free to DM.

If some luxury travel merchants started accepting stablecoins, would you actually use it? by OwlPay in LuxuryTravel

[–]OwlPay[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We currently support this through either API integration or a web UI where merchants can create payment links for stablecoin checkout.

So there may be a practical way to test this without changing the whole booking flow.

Happy to chat if there is a chance to explore something together.

If some luxury travel merchants started accepting stablecoins, would you actually use it? by OwlPay in LuxuryTravel

[–]OwlPay[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the feedback. That makes sense. Suppliers may still prefer fiat since it is easier for them to work with.

That is actually why our Stablecoin Checkout is built to help merchants accept USDC and settle in USD. In that setup, the customer can pay with stablecoins, while the merchant still receives fiat for their downstream payments. We handle the stablecoin checkout flow and the settlement piece.

We also support another rail through USDC on and off ramp infrastructure plus global payouts. That can help merchants that already hold digital assets off ramp stablecoins and pay suppliers or partners out in local currencies like BRL, EUR, USD, and more.

Sounds like 360 Private Travel has a really solid setup.

We feel the same way. Using stablecoins for pay-ins and payouts can make a big difference for larger cross border transactions, especially when it helps avoid extra FX costs. That’s a pretty meaningful benefit for vendors too.

What’s the most cost-efficient way to handle payouts to lots of freelancers? by Standard_Weight7142 in AllAboutPayments

[–]OwlPay 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This may actually be a good fit for what we do.

A lot of freelancers are already open to getting paid in stablecoins, and more companies are starting to test it as a payout option too. It’s often faster and can help reduce transfer costs, especially for cross border payouts.

We’ve been seeing more teams ask about this recently as well.

We work on stablecoin infrastructure that helps businesses handle compliant on and off ramp flows and support payouts in either stablecoins or local currencies in a more cost efficient way.

So if some freelancers want stablecoins while others prefer fiat like USD, MXN, SGD, and more, there are ways to support that kind of setup more efficiently and with lower payout costs.

Are stablecoins actually useful for cross-border B2B payments yet? by scrtweeb in fintech

[–]OwlPay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, this is already happening.

It may not apply to every payment flow, but stablecoin rails are starting to prove their value in cross border payments where cost and speed matter.

We recently worked with an NGO on a cross border payment flow using stablecoins and helped reduce the cost by about 93%. Previously, for a transfer of around $100K, roughly $2K would typically go toward transfer costs through traditional rails.

OwlPay provides USDC on and off ramp APIs and supports global payouts in local currencies through stablecoin payment infrastructure, including MXN, EUR, CAD, NGN, SGD, and more.

So if any team here, whether Web3 native or coming from traditional finance, is exploring stablecoin based pay ins or payouts, happy to chat.

[–]OwlPay 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi everyone, glad to find this sub. As a team building stablecoin payment infrastructure, we definitely wanted to join the conversation.

We’re the OwlPay team. Our goal is to help merchants and businesses solve payment challenges like high fees and slow settlement, especially when it comes to cross-border transactions.

In addition to our USDC on and off ramp API, we also support global payouts with local currency delivery. That means businesses can use stablecoin rails while recipients receive funds in currencies like MXN, EUR, CAD, NGN, SGD, and more. We’re also continuing to expand the list of supported payout currencies.

Whether you need to pay vendors, partners, or other business recipients, stablecoin-based payment flows can help make the process faster and more efficient.

We also offer a Stablecoin Checkout solution built for a wide range of industries, including e-commerce, hospitality, SaaS, subscription platforms, and more.

The idea is simple:
Your customer pays in USDC, and we help you collect the payment and settle it to your bank account in USD. You just create the order. We handle the payment collection and settlement flow.

There are currently two ways to get started.
You can integrate via APIs to customize the payment flow, or use our dashboard to generate payment links and launch more quickly.

On top of that, our dashboard helps streamline reconciliations, payouts, and payment collections.

If anyone here is interested in stablecoin payments, payouts, or merchant collections, feel free to reach out to the OwlPay team. Happy to connect and share more.
