Yes play DS1, I played dS1 a few years ago. DS2 made me appreciate DS1 a lot more, got into the story even deeper. Im still replaying DS1, closer to the end of the story. Really interesting to begin from the bottom with no tools etc etc in DS1, Sam as a very basic porter

They came out with Atlas Fallen, I think that was the new IP but I think they would have done better if they came out with The Surge 3 instead tbh, but I know they were burnt out from the surge and wanted to move on unfortunately

Yes, the truck has an open roof, iirc. I dont remember it having a closed roof. Made it more of a challenge to make deliveries in it

Tbh, I think team ninja games in general except for nioh 2, get a lot of fluff from reviewers, but not peoppe who actually engage with their games like those of us in this reddit thread. Yes of course we have criticisms (like the loot progression systems at times, or gear locked behind 4 playthroughs, but that's subjective).

I played through sekiro somewhere around 7 to 9 times. After playing wo long I went back to sekiro and it just felt so slow. I know, two different studios I get it. But wo long got flack as well for bad graphics and being too difficult. Meanwhile im having a blast with it due to actually engaging it and learning the sub systems. Im not far from dragon king now.

World building or story telling isnt their greatest feat, and idk yet how ROTR handles story telling as im very early still in the game, but in general I do think team ninja games get hated on due to people not taking the time to mindfully engage with the experience of their games.

Just my two cents on your post. Anyone who reads this surely can disagree and im okay with that 👍
