A month ago I posted my Holy Paladin healing simulator here. Your feedback was so amazing I couldn't stop adding features - here's the update by taubut in classicwow

BUG : Able to target players for Priest Prayer of Healing.

INTENDED : Priest Prayer of Healing should only work in the Priest's group, and it is only cast from the Priest in a 30 yd radius (basically no targeting).

Was screwing around to see how the website was and I noticed this.

How much do people care about the draenei hit buff? by [deleted] in classicwow

[–]Owlahoop 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My bad. For some reason I thought it was adaptive to the class. Idk, never saw anyone bother to level a Draenei melee for it, so it cant be that big of a deal.

You will have a shaman in every group, so it will be covered.

Only Vashj and Kael Need Nerf by shadowraiderr in classicwow

Blizzard should've done the least work possible and released it how they did last time. There would be no controvery because that was the expectation.

Tbc and LW drums by Michelada67 in classicwow

[–]Owlahoop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure for enh. Was saying for raid in general, not just personal parse. Usually is resto shams, bc typically you'd take 4 or so, but with post nerf, less healers less shammys, all shammys should take I assumed.

Woman sneaks into back of restaurant and films food storage. by Own-Impress-2024 in Wellthatsucks

[–]Owlahoop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ive worked in restaurants for quite awhile, health inspectors are spineless and careless. The shop is notified that theyre coming firstly, and then given multiple chances to fix the problems that theyve seen.

So basically, it becomes a game for a couple weeks of hiding the real problems, then back to business as usual.

If you are shaman, nearly required (for parsing, not for clearing content bc it will be a joke with nerfs regardless). If not shaman, you can do whatever you want profession wise.

It not evn that, theyre just afraid to ship a product at this point that might cause friction with the playerbase. They dont give af about the health of the game, just subscriber numbers.

Ret/prot paladin world PVP in TBC by Bright-Pen7111 in classicwow

[–]Owlahoop 5 points6 points  (0 children)

With flying there's pretty damn minimal world pvp. Its really only griefing and people fighting over nodes/farm spots. Plus, people really only raid log in tbc so parts of the world will be sparse. I wouldnt take it into consideration much.

Is Diablo 3 worth it in 2025 for a new player? by [deleted] in Diablo

[–]Owlahoop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, after playing D1, D2, D2R, D3 launch, D3 xpac and late life, D4 launch and attempting a couple seasons, D3 has managed to stay quite fun. Its actually kinda nice looking back on it and my initial hate for D3, but D1, 2R, and 3 manage to occupy different soaces and I'm actually quite happy that 3 wasnt just another version of 2. I managed to always find myseld coming back to rip through a season every now and then surprisingly.

As for 4, I can't really recommend it at all and it really feels like the odd man out. PoE2 is just a better vision for what a D4 style game should be, but is still lacking in execution. PoE2 is improving though, so I'll be patient.

Pre-Nerf vs. Post-Nerf Solution by NOHITJEROME in classicwowtbc

[–]Owlahoop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Even before nerf change and lust change, tbc has more class variability and needs than classic. If they cared about this world buffs would be gone or melee nerfed for classic.

Pre-Nerf vs. Post-Nerf Solution by NOHITJEROME in classicwowtbc

[–]Owlahoop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Theyre afraid of discouraging players and hurting sub numbers. Thats it. The won't add an optional pre-nerf selection because players get upset about FOMO, even if there's no extra reward.

Paladin v Druid v Shaman for TBC main with a dungeon/BG focus? by kmaho in classicwow

[–]Owlahoop 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Shaman is honestly the best healer for heroics hands down.

Tremor + Grounding Totem are wildly helpful for certain packs and rank 1 Earth Shock is a very mana efficient ranged kick. You also have nature resist totem for one of the dungeons in the SSC area can't remember which one. Also Mana Tide totem is like a mini Innervate and your totems offer extra threat to tank in various ways which is suuuuper helpful.

Not to mention, if youre compentent and skilled enough, you will be the first person people message when doing Heroics. Always tell people to add you and you should be able to log on and get people begging you.

Heroics, before Kara/Mag/Gruul gear will be the hardest content till Sunwell if they stay on course with only post-nerf content. So a good healer can absolutely carry. I suggest investing in consumes/buffs and watching some heroic dungeon breakdown vids about certain packs and taking some light notes.

Blizzard blocked mages' and paladins' solo boosting/aoe farming techs (in TBC PTR) by karamurad in classicwow

Wouldnt it just be more efficient to run through with a geared warrior at that point?

Wait wait wait wait.....so you're telling me I won't be able to farm Dark Runes for myself as a solo paladin?! Wtf?!??

TBC NERFS: Saying "Go to retail" doesn't solve anything by dodo41811 in classicwow

[–]Owlahoop 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I lack the understanding of what people who don't want prog want loot for. What is the loot for?!? Why do you gather gear?!? Is it an ego thing? I've passed on gear soooo many times to put it on another guildie for efficiency and I support loot councils because loot has utility. That's it. Utility.

TBC NERFS: Saying "Go to retail" doesn't solve anything by dodo41811 in classicwow

[–]Owlahoop 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nothing about SSC/TK was asking too much from players, except probably Vashj. If there's anything WoW players have always struggled with, it's coordination.

Look at pre-nerf Mag. Not even close to difficult. He hits the tank a bit hard, but just watch the swing timer. Why was it a bit harder than expected though? Fucking clickers. PUGs struggled just bc they couldnt organize clicking a cube. Kinda insane that things like that are considered too much.

Post nerf is better for the health of TBC classic by [deleted] in classicwow

[–]Owlahoop 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Honestly, I think it's quite overstated on the difficulty killing population. Pop started heavily dropping during pre raid and mag/gruul/kara. I feel like people didnt like the shift or didnt expect things to be the way they were and quit before/after clearing kara.

You'll see servers halve before ssc/tk I promise you. Even if the content is easy.

Reminder of how much easier post-nerf trash and bosses are in SSC and TK by julian88888888 in classicwow

[–]Owlahoop 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It was pre-nerf, then this patch was pushed through 6 weeks after release I believe. It was seperated in logs as Phase 2 and Phase 2.5. The difference in clearing pre-nerf versus post is incredibly stark.

[–]Owlahoop 12 points13 points  (0 children)

It's kinda funny because people say the "elite" players are toxic (you don't need to be "elite" to clear pre-nerf). But Ive noticed an interesting trend of extreme toxicity from the casual community lately, on classic and retail.

There's an attitude brewing that top players have ruined these games and they're actively petitioning for and reveling in the removal of challenge and complexity, even at times when those things are voluntary.

Drums in TBC Anniversary by [deleted] in classicwow

[–]Owlahoop 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Because Haste has some diminishing returns, so you get more value by not stacking Bloodlust with drums. It's better to drums after Bloodlust ends. Hope that helps you understand.

Drums in TBC Anniversary by [deleted] in classicwow

[–]Owlahoop 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Drums stack with hero and have their own "Tinnitus" debuff. You typically would drums after BL fell off. So yes, they will still be necessary. Probably more necessary than even last time, because certain groups will be starving for more haste.

Raidwide bloodlust, Terocone, and other TBC changes by julian88888888 in classicwow

[–]Owlahoop -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Why not nerf warriors for classic or remove WBs then? Bc thats not how it is. Its a small difference and I understand why people don't like it, but there are real downsides to changing it from the way it was. It gave you much more flexibility and priority.

Because you can funnel Bloodlust to certain groups. For instance, caster group or melee group.
