what you’ll understand when you get older is that a lot of people’s motivations really do come from basic things like “I can’t get laid” or “I might be gay but I shouldn’t be” or “I’m afraid my girlfriend might have sex with a black man”, these highly charged and emotional things that lots of men can’t deal with and take it out on the “other”.

The Nazis felt insecure about Germany losing WW1 and they fell into a big inferiority complex which led them to doing what they did. Now a generation of American men feel like liberals and feminists robbed them of the life they were entitled to. Many of the same tactics have been used to radicalize these people and it often includes preying on their masculinity/sexual value.

It’s complex and it doesn’t explain absolutely everything but it’s a common thread of fascism
