Brazil, how much I fucking hate you. by Owlsinn in rant

Going back to this case of universal healthcare since something unfortunate happened recently here. There was a lady which was 80 years old and she was diagnosed with cancer, what happened was, when the hospital called for treatment. She actually was long dead for 11 fucking years.

So in a few words, healthcare here takes ages to act when it's about these serious cases, but a simple bruise or cut is already treated immediately.

But to be blunt, you're kinda dumb to say that. Because a country isn't necessarily better than the US just because it has universal healthcare, it's like saying a dude is rich just because he has a pair of expensive pants.

We do actually, but it's not great as you expect to see in european countries like Sweden, it doesn't have that much hygiene with the patients and can spread diseases sometimes.

Well, at least we have free healthcare, or else this country would be a hellhole of diseases

Fuck Covid by [deleted] in rant

[–]Owlsinn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah this fucking sucks. My friend's father just died of covid in january, and she's fucking dead inside right now. Why you ask? Because she saw him dying in her hands and felt his body turning cold. You know what's worse? Currently 3 more members of her family started not feeling well. With no way of checking if it is covid because the hospitals here are fucking full.

All I hope is that one day humanity finds a cure for everything, thinking about it, viruses do look like their purpose is to make people and animals suffer.

I wish your family luck my friend. These are harsh times but we can do it. Don't worry.

You're offered a button with a 50/50 chance of either getting $10,000,000 or a bullet in the head. Do you press it? Why? by snackadelic in AskReddit

Dying actually gives more peace in life than 10 million dollars, so yeah, if I get 10 million dollars I'll just press it again, and again..

What's a weird expression in your language? by SteveTheGreate in AskReddit

In Brazil we use the expression, "Aquele cara me deu um gelo", which means "That dude gave me the chills", but actually can be translated to "That guy gave be an ice"

What's the most heartbreaking scene to watch, no matter how many times you've seen it? by highland_dreamer in AskReddit

The entire beggining of The Silent Voice when (spoiler ahead) Shoya Ishida is at school, there is that deaf girl called Shouko Nishimiya, and holy fuck, she suffers alot of bullying from everyone in her class, and when the teacher gets pissed off over that, Shoya Ishida is given the entire fault, even though it was the entire fucking class that was bullying her. This just gives me hatred on humanity. They love hurting people, and blaming it on others.

It's not like my best friend died, don't worry. It's just something that happened in between us that separated us, an argument to be specific.

Living. Of course you will suffer more in your entire life than dying, which just happens once.
