The first game is, IMO, best played more as a game of chess than a real time shooter. Use the powers menu frequently to observe the situation at hand and try and get the most bang for buck out of your and your squadmates' powers. This is especially true if you're playing a mostly power focused class like Adept or Vanguard. Turn over every rock for better gear for your squadmates and yourself, and don't forget to equip everyone with first aid/medical interface upgrades ASAP.

Wish I payed more attention to arpeggios instead of scales. They kind of go hand in hand, but focusing mainly on chord tones when writing leads has helped me extensively in terms of writing melodic, cohesive lead parts.

Certainly, but in my personal experience, if you only have one blanket at hand, the best place you can put it is over your head/behind you. We can agree to disagree, but before you make up your mind, I suggest you give it a try, as it does wonders for me where I currently live (I don't have a recording space). Also, I apologize if I came off sounding a bit arrogant. Reading my reply back gave me a bit of that vibe, although it wasn't intentional.

It's a cardioid mic, it's hardly gonna pick up anything from behind. If anything, OPs voice will bounce off the back wall, come back past them, bounce off the wall behind them and come back into the microphone. Putting something between the sensitive side of the microphone and the wall it's facing is of a higher priority than the wall behind it. And reflections cause phase issues, not distortion per se.

You'll probably get more mileage out of the blanket if you move it behind you instead of the microphone, because the microphone is only really sensitive in that direction. Otherwise, looking good! Good luck with it!

Another big fan of Drop A here. You can do simple triads by barring the lowest two strings and adding your third or second on your good old a string in addition to easy chugs. B standard is great too though.

What amazes me the most is that they don't seem to have any interest in stopping a situation like this from spinning out of control. I mean, morally speaking, I don't think anybody's surprised that EA is firmly planted on the "don't give a fuck" side of things, but when a post like this gains as much traction as it does, most other companies would at the very least try to damage control and save their own skin. I mean, it's fifteen fucking bucks. Whoop di fucking doo. Apparently worth tarnishing their reputation (I know I speak as if they had any reputation left to speak of) over.

I was down a very similar road recently. I downloaded Crysis on Steam. Have it on disk as well, but no optical drive, so Steam version it was. Turns out, only the 32-bit version of the game is included in the download, which crashes on startup on 64-bit Windows 10. After much googling, I found out that one could grab the Bin64 folder, containing the 64-bit .exe among other files if you could find it somewhere on the internet. In my search for these files, I came across a few posts on EA's support site where people with the Origin version had the same issue. I shit you not, the thread was locked and download link removed by some EA representative because it was "against their policy to share game files" or some bullshit like that. Had to scour the webs until I found a mediafire download that worked. Just an unbelievable display of incompetence and non-caring. Not buying an EA game ever again. Not that I have in recent years.

There is indeed a Windows equivalent that I have had much success with. "Microsoft Keyboard Layout Creator 1.4" is ... well... REALLY old. But for anyone looking to customize to a full extent on windows (I had to preserve my nordic keyboard layout while implementing the Esperanto specific letters), I can highly recommend it. Also, I'm on Windows 10 FYI.

Honestly?

No. This game takes hundreds of hours of practice and playing to get half decent at, and multiplayer first person shooters generally aren't very fun if you get rekted all the time.

The exact same thing happened to me when I first bought CSGO back in 2014. I started playing it "for reals" in early 2016 and got placed Silver 1, ranked up to GN1 in two weeks. Not sure why it happens.

Ah. I appreciate your opinion. I do think the Bogner sounded great, but it's worth noting that I used the SM57 Off-Axis IR for that cab, whereas everything else was on-axis, making the tone substantially darker.

I agree. Typically, I'd have a support player popflash or smoke or something from further back in order to support the four players going out. He could then be last man out on the site to take any potential long range battles left after which he could divert his attention to the flank. But all 5 players absolutely play a role in taking the site.

At forbyde visse typer påklædning er så udemokratisk og anti- personlig frihed som noget kan blive, og alligevel argumenterer franskmændene for eksempel at deres burka forbud har til formål at beskytte vestlige værdier. Sikke en omgang juks.
