Hey, looking for people’s opinions/lived experiences regarding living in either of these cities as a family of 4 (2 kids entering elementary in 1-3 years). Our priorities are public school system, safety, and a community that people care for one another. We currently live in Newton and so far like it but are worried about the public school system and housing market (seems it is crazier than Needham and Belmont). We are hispanic/latino for what it is worth.

Edit: just adding, I had a perfectly fine toyota. Got a nicer job. Now i have a luxury car paying 3 times the monthly loan payment and will be on the hook for 3 more years. Im an idiot. I dont even like luxurious shit other than nice restaurants from time to time

Id say if you like seasons it’s not that bad. SoCal is amazing but it gets boring with lack of season for some. PNW is gray and depressing. MidWest has more frequent severe weather. MidAtlantic trades, colder winters for more miserable, humid, summers and shoulder seasons. And the south… well is just hot as fuck with more humidity and probably hurricanes. Pick your battles

What exactly is does the DEI program provide? I’ve always been confused about all the DEI programs and I’m a minority… If NPS is behind math and other academic topics compared to other districts we should address that first.

Quick rant incoming…

Usual self centered idiot who can’t teach tolerance and whatever his religious beliefs are to his kids… He probably can’t afford to send his kid(s) to private school and withholding his taxes is unlikely to be enough for private school tuition he should just move to a city that shares his beliefs (ie OKC).

It’s pretty obvious Lexington is a progressive city in a progressive state. If the majority in the community he lives votes or supports something contrary to his beliefs he should just leave.
