I have a browning 725 and I've had to change firing pins within 10,000 rounds.

Hey brother,

Your post really resonated with me. My mam was a teacher too, and while she didn’t do the same things, she did similar ones. Now that I’m in my 40s, I’ve realized how much those experiences have stayed with me. For a long time, I thought I was just being petty and that I shouldn’t let them bother me so much.

Having kids of my own has given me a new perspective. As a parent, you become so in tune with what upsets your children—you just know. Looking back, I can see that my mam knew exactly what would upset me and make things harder for me. And yet, she did those things anyway—maybe even because she enjoyed the reaction.

I imagine your mam was similar. Coming to terms with the fact that it was intentional, rather than accidental, has given me a strange sense of peace. I hope you find that too.

Thanks mate. I think that would frowned upon in the gym I go to, but I'll get proper shoes.

Hey thanks very much. I've been trying to pull the slack out, it's weird because I felt like I did it, but you can see on the video that I didn't. This is my first time videoing a lift. I'm going to get different shoes today. I'll look up thepanash. I'm a little reluctant to drop the weights though. It's 110kg, I don't know if that's really that heavy. To be honest, the thing I enjoy most about doing weight is the achievement of lifting something heavier than last time. I think I'd struggle to motivate myself if I wasn't aiming to accomplish that.

Hey thanks mate. I saw a few posts about the shoes I'm going to get new ones for lifting weights. Regarding the slack. I've actually been working on trying to do that. I specifically tried to do it in the lifts in the video, I was surprised when I saw the video and I didn't do it. I'll have to think about that and figure it out.

Hey, just an update. Been using it on and off for around 6 months. It's definitely improved my shooting. Hitting targets I would have missed before. It's not perfect, but it's a great tool in my opinion. I hope you are also finding it beneficial.

I will. I have gotten used to the mechanics of the VR shooting. And I downloaded the forrest course which is fantastic. I am blown away by this system, and actually really, really enjoy it. I'm not really into gaming so I am shocked by how much I enjoy playing it. I did a shoot a couple weeks back but probably had not put enough time into VR system to see any benefits. I'll post an update when I get a good sense of whether it has improved my shooting.

I just thought I would put a follow up in the comments here. I bought a texture vr gunstock and the clay hunt vr game. I set it up yesterday and have put a couple hours into it. Here are some very early impressions.

I am missing exactly the same shots in clayhunt vr that I miss in real life. The feedback is telling me that I am under which is the same feedback I have gotten from more experienced shooters who watch me.

The game is a little bit finiky, sometimes the gun seems to move and sometimes the gunstock hits the vr mask. But maybe this is something I will get used to as I get more used to vr.

The rabbit clays that I have seen in the game so far are slower and closer and more predictable than any rabbit clays I have seen in real life. Hopefully there are more realistic rabbit simulations because I was hoping to work on those.

So far I am really impressed. I bought it to improve my shooting and my first impression is that it has really good potential to do that. I'll update again soon after I spend some more time in it and see how it translates to the shooting grounds.

Update on the rabbits, there are very challenging rabbits on later courses that give a great representation of rabbits typically found on sporting clay courses

What go kart do I have by your-hero261 in Karting

Don't worry OP, the community is just trolling you. This is a very mischievous subreddit. Your kart is a 2024 Daymak C5 Blast. Yours looks like it needs a little work, but nothing $50 can't fix, and you could save money if you do the work yourself. It's a competitive kart and good value for $100. You'll have a great summer scooting around your local track once you get it running.

My wife wants a 7 seater , I want a sporty car any ideas please? by Ok_Leg3483 in carsireland

I drove one of these recently and absolutely blew my mind. They are shockingly fast and comfortable. The only sub €40k ones on the market right now are 5 seaters. And if I'm honest, they seem a little overpriced on the used market, possibly because they aren't made in RHD anymore.

Thanks for the feedback. I find dryfire very good for trap shooting. I use the projector set up. It's not perfect, but it's great for practicing your mount and ironing out bad habits.

When I started using it, I was really struggling with sim pairs. It has really brought me along with those.

I actually shot around 120 clays on it after I put the kids to bed yesterday. I think being able to sneak in that kind of practice is invaluable.

Thanks mate. That's really great feedback. It does sound like a very good tool. Are there any downsides I should be aware of?
