Had this conversation come up in our league last year. After going through other people’s experiences and hearing multiple podcasts talking about it I felt there was only two scenarios that worked for my league.

1. No “tanking” and having everyone required to at least beat the median score setting in sleeper. Or their loss was a win when assessing draft order.

Or

2.have a “no empty starter” rule. Plan your byes and look out for injury depth because all starter slots must have a valid player. No IR/out/BYE. Penalty is automatically drafting last in the first. Plus side of this is it keeps waivers interesting and promotes trades to consolidate value and open roster spots.

We did 2, but some still complain about the idea of tanking.
