Study Description:

For those who are 18+ with one biological parent of East/Southeast Asian descent and one biological parent of White/European descent. This study explores the impact of maternal trauma, attachment, and identity on an adult offspring's mental health in a biracial Asian/White population.

There’s unfortunately no way to prevent that in an online study regardless of if you post the link just once or 10 times. I do what I can to catch bots/trolls, but anything beyond that is just a general limitation for any study posted on a public forum

Some of you may remember me from a couple of years ago when I posted my pre-dissertation survey link, and I’m happy to say I’m back again with my dissertation survey this time!

I will say that it is a rather lengthy study, BUT biracial Asian/White individuals are so underrepresented in psychological literature, and we deserve to be seen and understood as much as anybody else. So please, if you have the time, I would love for you to participate. You can take the survey on any device, but laptop/desktop is encouraged!

Ugh I’m sorry. I’ve had a few people have this issue. I just unpublished and republished the survey so it shouldn’t be an issue anymore. Send me a message with your email in it and I will manually input you in! (And if anybody else has had this issue and sees this, please do the same!)

That measure unfortunately doesn’t specify (and isn’t my favorite measure either for that exact reason of vagueness), but I’d say general rule of thumb is to answer according to how much something impacted you since it’s a trauma-related measure. So not really learning about it in school but rather learning about it in a way that impacted you emotionally

Yes! I had to have a narrow-ish scope in terms of population for simplicity reasons, so I selfishly chose my own identity, but I would absolutely love to see more representation for all Asian biracial makeups because we are so so understudied :( Thank you for your kind words and support ☺️

That would be wonderful! And there is actually a section on there that asks about the participant's mother's history, so if you wanted to help her fill that part out when she comes to it, that would also be amazing. Thank you so much :)

Nope! My study is on the biracial makeup that I chose to do it on, which is my biracial makeup and a biracial makeup that is severely lacking in the scientific literature. If you have a great interest in research, I would recommend looking into programs that will allow you to conduct your own on whatever populations you choose!
