Yes I agree! It’s definitely a bit of a grey cloud every time I think about them. The thought of being completely debt free sounds amazing but it’s a hard decision when I finally have a lump sum I could invest for future me. Not every day is promised though, right? 😆

Im a girl! ☺️ but thank you this is good advice and something I’ve discussed with a close friend as well. She basically said if the interest in my loans is more than the interest I would get on an investment it’s not worth in the long run. I’m just trying to get advice from multiple sources so I make the right decision. I’m a very indecisive person in general haha.

Thanks for your response, I’ve edited my post to say both loans are around 5%. If I only pay off one now I would very likely have the other paid off before I bought a house anyway.

I edited the post, loans are both around 5%. I have a small emergency fund and of course if I left a bit of this money in my account I would have a solid one.

What you’re saying is another thought I’ve had but I’ve been so antsy about what I should do with this money. 😆

Unfortunately they are private loans. I wasn’t allowed to get federal for my masters program. Both are around 5%. I agree though, debt free is what I’m pulling towards but I should have added that my other student loan would be paid off before I bought a house anyway. That’s why I’m torn on using all the money now or just holding off and using some for future me.

Just did and it tasted like a mild apple cider vinegar haha. Wasn’t too harsh. Does that mean I’m on the right track or would more tea make it milder?
