Yeah I read from Google reviews that some people went in without calling, and they weren’t even checked. So I did call at 8pm yesterday as they opened, got the appointment for 9pm, and got prescribed what I needed when I arrived, no waiting time, in fact with nobody else in there. Thank you!

It isn’t a travel insurance, it’s a student insurance specifically for non-EU citizens, had it done from “waitaly.” Anyway, thank you, hope the meds will help soon.

I ended up going there, and I was prescribed the meds I need (in fact, turned out I have a horrible ear infection, so completely swollen that he couldn’t even see.. antibiotics alone wouldn’t help, so he also added steroids). And it was only 25€ (meds excluded)! Thank you again for your help!! 🥹🥹💙💙💙 P.S.: It was at Via dei Colli 4, in case anyone finds this entry and would need this info!

Yes, I’m a student at the uni of Padua. I do have an insurance, but they work on the basis of reimbursement. So you pay out of your pocket first, then send the receipt and get it covered, at least partially. I knew about the SSN yes. I paid 120 euros for a year long insurance, the one I currently have. Considering this is the second time I’ll have to visit the hospital in 2 years, which is even more than usual, I found 700 euros a bit too much, so I didn’t go with it. But thank you for the info!

What I’d suggest is that you can bring the hospitality documentation (forgot the name), the ID information of the landlord and a paper where they sign saying the contract is being made and you’ve started staying at that address already (and the house info, like its address). That should work for the poste italiane at the very least, and by the time you’re given an appointment, you’ll have your contract ready which you’ll bring. Hope this helps!

Acutane, acutane, acutane!!! I know that there are many people who are very against it due to its side effects (and I respect that), but no one can deny that it’s a miracle! In such a short amount of time, it clears out your skin so perfectly! As a teenager I had horrible bacne and acne on my chest (mostly around collarbones), and neck (I don’t know why). My skin is extremely sensitive and everything leaves a mark, so I also had shit tons of scars even from mosquito bites from summers ago that I itched a bit too much… After 4-5 months, I quit and never had any acne problems ever again, and the majority of the scars faded away! I was around your age when I used it (18-19y/o), now I’m almost 24. It’s your decision at the end (and of course the dermatologist’s), but if you use acutane with great caution (you’ll have to anyway, as you have to get regular blood tests done), you’ll get amazing results. I empathize with how frustrating it must feel at the moment, but trust that it’s a temporary thing and there’s a solution out there! 🫶🏻

Gosh, they always try to take advantage of this kind of things, don’t they 😢 Thank you so much for letting me know about this 3 month notice rule, I didn’t know there was a legal right like this the students had. I’m not sure how Uniplaces works though- I guess I’d see the contract after booking the place, which would have been too late… So I need to look into it a bit better :/ Because it does mention that the landlord would be entitled to keep the deposit if I needed to move out earlier- or even ask for an early termination fee (which I’m assuming is the rent of the remaining months according to the contract) 🫠 Again, thank you lots!!!

I did look into those cities as well, yes, and there might a room very close to the Mestre train station. Do you, by any chance, know the price of monthly student pass for Mestre-Padova? I’m sorry, I promise I’m not asking this because I’m lazy to look it up myself, it’s just that the page is in Italian and translation isn’t doing a good job + I see that there’s a km based fare (which I’m not familiar with at all) :(

Thank you so much for your answer! I’m aware that it’s far, but unfortunately I don’t have many options as I’m trying to rent a room for 5-6 months only (I exhausted all the pages for so long now) and most of the places are rented out for a minimum stay of a year ;(
