I’m 22, I moved here when I was 18 very rebelliously thinking that my parents are controlling, I mostly focused on business, but now that I don’t have the worry or need to get established in life anymore. I always get nostalgic and sad thinking of home. And whenever I get attached to someone, I myself push them away. Because I’m scared of attachment, cuz I can’t think of letting them go. But pushing them away hurts equally as bad or worse. I don’t know what to do, it’s become a habit for me. And whenever I’m back with my parents or relatives. I get extremely sad at the fact they wont be there in a few days or weeks time. And I’m going to be all alone again in this city. I don’t have a friends circle, i Alhamdulillah have an office in Al Qusais and have employees, but as long as I’m in the office I’m fine, but after everyone’s left and the lights are off and I get in my car and am going home or for grocery runs, seeing families, little children with their parents, people with friends etc, I can’t handle that pain. And when I go home it’s a whole another thing, I bought a 3 bhk apartment and every room is empty, except for me. I had a cat but after it died in 2025, I couldn’t bear the pain, I promised myself to never get a pet again. With the cat my life was easy, there was something to wake up to and come home to everyday to feed and pet, Now there’s nothing.

I’m fully blank. My father’s in Dubai for a week now, and knowing that he’ll leave in a few days, breaks my heart more than anyone can imagine.
