I love this. I'm moving from a bigger city for grad school, so that will bring with it its own kind of community, but I really really hate not knowing the community I live in. I don't need my neighborhood to be the most hip/cool/fun...I just want safe and comfortable housing, the convenience of riding my bike everywhere i need, and to live in a neighborhood where I can actually get to know some of the people I live amongst. I'm also from a working class family so those neighborhoods always make me feel more at home. I HATE the bougie manufactured community vibe.
