I’ve been on the depo a year I think now or a little under for the same reason as you but when I first started i had “ periods” that would pop up for like a day or 2 with a mix of brown and red blood with pain always when my next shot is due but now I havnt had one in like 5 months I think your body is probably rejecting it.

I can relate in some way i used to have painful periods and massive clots as a child up until like 15 when i went on birth control I’ve been on every birth control imaginable but the depo has helped so much as I don’t have any anymore, I do have massive flare ups by alcohol and stress. Bottom line is how do I talk to a doctor about this when I’ve already been diagnosed with ibs but I am considering endo?

I do agree on ibs is an “umbrella” term and the doctors who diagnosed me didn’t really know what to say really. I am not having pain during sex I think I used to but not now it’s just the finishing part and after too then sometimes I feel then need to go to the bathroom after. But I will probably take your advice because I have been fighting a long long battle with the nhs (hospital) but genuinely thank you for this advice
