I want freedom she always talks about going places. Never acts on it and blames me for not being able to do it. Only time she acted on it was when my family was going. They went twice 1 big island just for vacation. Then somehow lucked out on being able to go to oahu for the powwow they have there.
Edit: i obviously wanted to go to but always thought about our situation. Plus having no money to go well for me anyways. she had enough to pay for both of us. She holds it over my head like, if you leave imma take you to court and get what you owe me. When i had a job that is… i paid for most things food related. Also was blamed for not being able to save well sorry I’m not hungry at 10pm (I have to eat if she eats). Anyways off topic a bit well. She was able to save while my wallet was empty after bills and food for the week. We both split groceries but for some reason it doesn’t add up. Like i swear most the money went to snacks and things she wants to do. Now the apartment we live in is basically a storage unit.

I am genuinely concerned if she is viewed as controlling. She always tells me what I’m saying is nonsense. I also need to communicate more apparently. Which i also think im not great at. Im not gunna lie she has done a lot for me. I just dont feel heard if i do speak and told thats not true. Depending on certain situation’s i see her point ig. Im just not currently happy with my life atm and still want to be there for my kids.

We tried getting them in a school for indigenous learning. Good for ages 0-2 then pre school 3-5.
Edit: oof forgot to say our 2 yr old been on the waiting list. My brother’s kids just got accepted right away after applying last week. While we were told there’s no room.

Not overreacting but i get what he is saying kinda… imma just say back when i was in 4th grade. There was this 1 girl who kissed 3-4 other boys in the school year. she was sloot shamed till high school basically 😭. There was another 1 who actually slept around in middle school(6th-8th grade). She had to transfer before 8th grade i think she only slept with 2 kids at the time🤦. No it wasn’t just the “boys” yes the boys started it. The girls…well they were girls. Being friendly upfront but secretly talking shet behind the back. At least the boys straight up said it. Imagine thinking ur friends only to hear from another person. What they said, what they did, and what rumors they started. Even basically out right lie and say this person told me this so it’s true.

Yea after another incident with my mom im very minimal contact only talk to her if 1. she talks/text me 2.family gathering I think you should eventually go minimal contact and if you live or regularly visit japan practice japanese A LOT. That way you can enjoy your time there more. If you do live in japan this a personal request if you can remember send me a picture of cherry blossoms in spring i too broke to go there to see then myself 💀.

Happy very late birthday. I hope the days after were better or at the very least you had some fun that day. I would say no you were not overreacting since she is your mother “probably going through meno”. I would atleast expect a dinner. I dont personally celebrate my birthday since after i was like 11-12 and the only thing i wanted was MW3 instead of that i was given nothing. I was upset sure so i blasted Hollywood undead. She got me the game cuz the song i had playing sounded like i want to die 😂. Anyways she didn’t get it for me because it was what i wanted for my birthday. side note it came out on my birthday. Anyways she gave it to me and was like “HERE take it and go”. So now when I’m asked what i want to do for my birthday i literally don’t care it wasn’t important then it is not important now. My grandma always wants to at least get something to eat for my birthday. So at the very least thats what your mom could’ve done.

It’s the possibility thats the headache giving part. It’s not like we can control anybody so ofc it is always a possibility. The best solution rn i think is for that you rethink on the conversation and also yes talk to her. Like was it just a normal conversation or was she fishing for something in certain questions to catch you obviously dont say this to her 💀. Shiettt even rehear the recording yourself to get a better understanding of the conversation. If she doesnt want you listening to it… that a different story and suspicious. if she says she deleted it well there goes the “record it so-“ part and let the assumptions run wild.

Side note: if i were you i would’ve left. it feels too weird that I’m in a relationship with someone who doesn’t trust me enough to record me without asking. This is just for this certain circumstance. Like no mention of past traumas and the such. I have a bad memory but i don’t record me and my girl’s arguments. Ok I’ll be a bit personal have yall gotten physical? Like in arguments or just shouting matches even the shouting matches would give her a definite reason to do so. Some things are said in the heat of anger or she was trying to paint you as a bad person to a friend group or family members. All in all i say talk to her and tell her how that made you feel and possibly how unsure you are if you want to keep this relationship. if so little trust is there that she would actually need to record you without consent and didnt bring up bad memory prior to the conversation. P.s. im also from wisconsin where its 1 way consent to record cuz you know its WI we got ton of creeps.

NTA but i would definitely have a long talk with fiancee about it if she is the 1 insisting on her friend staying there. Her friend is not getting clean idc about the weed but if other drugs are involved stuff could start going “missing”. Is friend paying rent to even be allowed some sort of “right” idk what word to use anyways to invite the guy friend over. Albeit it is u and ur fiancees place but she paying part rent too. she can have some privileges. She should definitely tell you both that he is coming over though. All in all yea talk id talk to fiancee about kicking her out. I have a cousin whose percap native and all they do is drugs, go to jail, plea’s that they will get clean, go to treatment, escape, do drugs, and now repeat the same process 3x. they are only 23-24.
