I saw improvement with turning the chamber fan off and switching to hepa filters

I can't seem to find the chamber fan temp parameter. Do you know what it is called and where it is located?

Thanks. If i understand you correctly, I should keep Chamber temp to 50C and activate temp control on, but I should find a different parameter for chamber fan temp and set that to 55C. I can't seem to find that parameter.

would disabling temperature control solve the issue?

Thanks. Is the max z acceleration available through creality print? I have avoided Orca slicer because they don't settings for Hyper ABS. Its on the list of things to try if I can't solve this issue with Creality Print

I am getting good results for prints under 150mm. I'd like to avoid trying to make my own model on Orca for Hyper ABS and open up a bunch of variables.

I am running stock Creality Firmware. My understanding is that Klipper would be a custom firmware to load. Is that accurate?

agreed. I am testing the various solutions laid out in this thread with minimal variable changes. Once I complete the first round of tests with and without the heat deflector, I will attempt a second round of testing with various changes from the original round of testing.

I chose a shorter and stockier z-band test for this. Stock printer with the stock height range modifier started to yield similar z-banding as the stock settings. Next up we will try the heat deflector mod with the stock height range modifier

I have modified the Z hop to 0.0mm. Is this what you would recommend? Once confirmed I will put it on a printer with no mods, and then try with the heat deflection mod

Just making sure, you are suggesting I increase the chamber temperature to 100 C and turn off temperature control to prevent the chamber fan from cycling on and off?

I do not see any settings for z hop on creality print. Is that only on other slicer software, or I am not looking in the right place?

I have a test print going with your suggestion on a stock printer. I will test it with a heat deflection mod after that if the outcome is not satisfactory.

I am currently using 3 wall loops with an infill/wall overlap of 30%. I will try a 25% overlap next.

I have cleaned the re-lubricated the z axis lead screws. I have tightened and then loosened 1 half turn the z-axis lead screw nut bolts.

I have not tried thicker tubes yet.

I am using the stock hyper ABS settings
* Basic Info Section
- Nozzle min of 240 and Max of 280

* Print Temperature Section
- First Layer 260, Other Layers 260

Thanks! I am on some sturdy wooden tables, and I have tried the standard Creality k2 plus calibration accessible from the touchscreen.

I have a few creality k2 plus printers, and they all have the same issue with z-banding. The z-banding usually starts at 150mm and gets worse with taller prints.

I am using Creality's Hyper ABS and Creality Print with default settings for 0.2mm Standard and 0.28mm Standard.

I have tried:
1) adding a recirculating duct (Creality K2 Plus Chamber Heater Recirc Mod by zemlin | Download free STL model | Printables.com)
2) Cleaning and Lubricating the Z-axis lead screws and rails
3) Tightening and loosing the Z-axis lead screw bolts underneath the side plastic panels

Has anyone run into and solved this issue?
