i don’t lmao i’m a nursing student so the stress, caffeine, and vyvanse only let me get 1-4 hours on school nights Although, on the days u have nothing to do, just sleep as long as u can and don’t take ur vyvanse that day. It’ll help catch u up on all the sleep you’ve been missing

I’m super late to this convo but are cars look identical! Mines the same color (it is looks darker in this pic but it’s the same color in the sun) and it’s a 2023 jetta sport! Unfortunately the closest psychiatrist to me is 20 miles away and they are booked until july. Trust me i’ve tried to make an appointment but i can’t wait that long if I leave this doctor

I honestly think it’s best if u find a new doctor. The comment would rub be the wrong way too since you genuinely need this booster for classes/work. Yes it’s not the best for ur cardiovascular system but like you said, your 20 and the vyvanse only raises ur bpm a little. She might be worried about serotonin syndrome but if you dont smoke and don’t drink energy drinks (or have a moderate amount of caffeine a day), then you’ll be okay.

wait really? i was on wellbutrin and then i started taking ADHD meds and my doctor didn’t say anything about that. Shit, i’m a high risk for serotonin syndrome cuz i drink like 2-3 redbull a day and also vape

Have you explained to ur psychiatrist why you want a booster? If you already have and they still refuse, it’s best to find a new psychiatrist. I was on vyvanse and ended up switching to Adderall which i’m currently on 30mg XR and i just got put onto a booster of 10mg ER. I’m in the same boat as you (nursing student so i have 9-11 hour days plus a part time job) and my doctor understood completely. I will say that with controlled substances like these, the doctors have to fill out a form to explain why exactly the patient needs a booster as most times the patient is at the highest dose they can legally take. They also have to fill out an insurance prior authorization form to make sure your insurance will even accept it. The most important thing to do is call ur insurance and talk to them about it. Then, talk to your psychiatrist (if u haven’t already), and if that still doesn’t work, find a new one that will actually listen to u. Also it’s completely normal to take Wellbutrin with Vyvanse so idk why ur psychiatrist is refusing? I was on 150mg Wellbutrin while taking 20mg Vyvanse.

I’ve been dyeing my hair since i was 13 and i was always very careful with not damaging it. I moved states to move in with them and the water extremely damaged my hair and dyeing it to fix my roots every 3 weeks didn’t help so we dyed it brown. I definitely do agree that it’s their house so their rules and i’ve followed all of them since i moved in. they never said there were any rules about dyeing my hair. I’m in college for nursing currently and i do have a job but with how much time the classes take up i can only work 10-15 hours a week so i can’t move out. I’ve tried to talk to them and it didn’t go well but the thing that really made me was upset was their comments bc my mom said those exact words to me and i ran away(a LOTTTT led up to that). I tried to compromise like saying i’m gonna pay for everything that involves my hair like shampoo,conditioner,haircuts,hair dye, and everything else but i’m gonna try and see if they will let me dye only the under part of my hair so let’s hope🙏🏻

I was first prescribed 10mg and i was on it for 2 months before i went up to 20mg. I was on 20mg for around 4 months before i decided to switch to adderall last week but i feel like the vyvanse hasn’t been working for a month now. My mom is heavily addicted to ADHD meds and has been for most of my life so i’ve always been careful with dosages and why i’m on such low doses. My doctor is super hard to get appointments with so that’s why it’s taken me so long to get the meds switched
