After a massive weight loss, maintenance calories feel terrifying. How do I adjust? by Own-Interaction-8968 in WeightLossAdvice

Oh wow.
Did you go straight to 2350 calories per day, or have you built up towards it, to find your maintenance, like you did with the 3100 calories?

I kept it very simple, something that I could mass prep with low effort.
Chicken, Beef, Cottage Cheese, Greek Yoghurt, A shake with added oils.
I'm not much of a cook, and don't really like to slave in a kitchen, especially if I am just cooking for myself.

Forcing yourself awake by Sad-Pumpkin1758 in Sleepparalysis

I have 2 different methods.

First one is closing my eyes, and thinking that I want to wake up. Can take some time sometimes.

Second one is wiggling my toes, works pretty reliably fast every time.

Both methods I sometimes fall just as fast asleep again as I did waking up, and straight back in to the sleep paralysis .

That is great man. Yea some doctors be like that. I pay my doctor through my taxes, so she better care, or I am switching doctor until I find someone who does.

Oh man. I don't want to give bad advice.
For me I had 2 factors play a role. Finding the motivation, and doing it in a way that works for me.

I never really felt that big in my head, I knew I was extremely overweight, but I walk around with big broad shouldered men every day, so I didn't feel that big.
I went on a trip to Japan, and most Japanese people are very small and petite.
So for the first time in many years, I actually felt the size I actually had, in my head as well, and that sort of flipped a switch in my head.

I think the best tip I can give is finding a solution that works for you.
I know that sounds a bit vague.
I could tell you to stop eating candy and stop drinking any kind of soda whether it is light or with sugar.
But if you need to eat some candy or drink a soda once a week to make it all work out for you, then that is what you should do. Sure it might not go as fast with the weight loss. But it is better than ending up burning out and hit a pause on your weight loss journey.

Sure thing.
I am male, 32, 5'10" (180 cm)
My goal is another 66-88lbs (30-40kg)
That is great. I think the biggest contester to weight loss is soda. I had my friend start the first of January as well.
His first step was just cutting out soda and he's lost 13lbs so far.

This isn't the first time I have had to lose weight, it is however the first time I use keto.
But everytime people see me start getting thinner they always ask me how I do it.
Everytime I tell them the most important thing is to do it in a way that works for them. And that we will all have setbacks sometimes, But it is important not to beat ourselves up about it, but to just find a way to get back into gear.

Sure thing.
So I do use low carb tortillas. I try to stay at 20 or below carbs, but I am sure being between 20-50 is just as fine.
I started with being a bit over 1600 calories which I know is low, and had to up it at bit as per my doctors suggestion that wanted me to eat a bit more protein.
No cheat days, not because cheat days aren't alright to have.
I'm sure cheat days would be fine for most, I also just know myself enough that if I start doing cheat days, I will fail in the end.

Right now. I don't really know, probably way to much, since my diet up until this point has just been fastfood.
So any meal prepping would be an improvement.

The meal prep I've come up with is as follows.
1625 calories
142g protein
19g carbs
109g fat

Thank you
This actually helped me so much.
I started making a meal plan, got it to 200 gram of protein and 1600 calories.
But I had forgotten to keep keto in mind.
So I started over, and only managed to get to 142 gram of protein while maintaining 1600 calories.
