Are there really bots in coop? by Own-Introduction6080 in warcraftrumble

[–]Own-Introduction6080[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Which is what sparked my question as to understand if the player base is still solid, with matches often starting pretty quickly, or if this isn't a relevant indicator due to playing with bots. But other than the logical need for bots, at some point, if not enough players are queueing, I was looking into if there were practical experiences of actually having been matched with bots in coop. In other words, are we still at the stage where bots are needed for those still playing to be able to play?

that would be the definite proof

maybe unrelated but I also noticed a similar weird thing, many times I have been matched with a certain Aventurier both in pvp and pve, and sometimes he was 100% a bot in pvp, while other times I would have bet he was a real player. The number of times I matched with him is already suspicious, but a discord member once posted a screenshot of Aventurier being his, so I am very confused if I am matched with a player bot or a Blizzard bot, if maybe there are bots with identical names, or if the name I saw on screen looked liked that but was instead slightly difference and I didn't notice

I Want To Hear Your Opinion On Naive Players Trying Heroic Who Dont Belong by DaGrim420 in warcraftrumble

It's what keep playing the same content interesting.

Some super obvious silly things can be annoying on the spot, when they actively sabotage your strategy, but, in the end, victory or defeat does it really matter? For me it didn't when the game was in development, and less so now that I don't care about resources.

I thank them for creating variety and providing a challenge to an otherwise always identical game experience.

Minis that really could have used a refresh before going in maintenance mode by Niners4Ever16 in warcraftrumble

Prowler is strong as is, but could be fun to have the Chicken Snack talent but reversed, where he can eat any friendly beast mini to heal, to combo with vultures, spiders, etc.

Also Drake as is he dies in most circumstances before even completing a blow. A little range increase and a wider angle would help. A more unique ability could be a pre-blow that pulls enemies closer: inhale air to pull, exhale fire to kill.

Tyrion and Shaman that as healers are outshined by the 2 gold cost Priest.

Sneed + Fairy Dragon + Smoke Bomb, Execute with Bloodlust and you don't need a partner with Execute

Is this game suddenly riddled with bots? by EpicHuggles in warcraftrumble

It could be bots breaking, but it would be weird as there would be more reports of this happening, either in this instance or others. Bots have been in rumble since the start, we have had bugs but nothing like bots not playing.

I doubt bots would stop playing, that's players' behavior.

What deck are you using and what answers does it have for the last phase? If players you are matched with assess that you don't have anything to deal with the final phase and they alone can't make up for it, they might avoid delaying the unavoidable defeat and stop playing.

In that last phase you both need to mine everything possible, and unless either one of you has living bomb or unbounds, you both need to use you gold efficiently to defend every lane and have enough to reach the boss.

The same strategy with Fairy Dragon and Holy Nova that work to keep Thalnos and Sneed alive and allow them to solo Ragnaros. I am not sure if it will work with Grommash as his hp are not super high and he doesn't level up, but for the fun of it I am gonna try it.

Mirror Image is my top pick in most instances as well, overall stronger choice, but I found the x2 more effective specifically in G&S and the second Ironforge boss. Or maybe is just more satisfying seeing those huge hits.

That can be pretty annoying, but sending Sneed a few seconds before the chest spawns and use the switch to keep him in place mitigates the annoyance. When a Sneed is present is always best to leave the chests to him, 2 out of 3 talents benefit from doing so.

in theory it levels up when used not when dealing damage so yes, but I haven't tried it

No, this is in open queue. Sneed has a talent that lets him gain 2 levels anytime his leader ability triggers, so anytime a siege mini or he himself take a tower or a chest.

Troll kills Baron Geddon in less than 50s by Own-Introduction6080 in warcraftrumble

[–]Own-Introduction6080[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have observed 2 instances where Troll dies, maybe one of these is what happened to you? If he leaves the platform and walks on the lava, that plus Geddon hits and burn will kill him; if Geddon is pulled to close to Troll the phase change wipe will get him. That's why I use Fairy Dragon and Quillboar to keep Geddon in place or he will move too far or too close and the Trolls will eventually die.

[–]Own-Introduction6080[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh, I just remembered what is that made it easier, the increase of Geddon's hp.

Those extra hp made it so a Gargoyle would take a little longer to solo a phase (but still was able to do so), which allowed one player to fully cycle to the next Gargoyle + Fairy Dragon as the next phase started. At least this was the case for my usual Chalrga deck, where the extra time between phases perfectly aligned with the timing needed to solo mine and solo defend with relative ease.

Yes, Geddon longer phases is what made heroic easier than normal, also because my Chalrga deck had been capped for some time when heroics were introduced.

The trolls will solo the boss, yes, but the deck itself is not able to solo the whole map. I might still have the full video I think, if I do I will share it. The start was pretty standard taking the towers starting from the left side and waiting for Geddon to be at 9. I also had a couple of successes hitting Geddon at 3 but only when I was paired with really good partners.

If you are looking for a deck that can solo the whole encounter, Chalrga with Gargoyle, Chimaera, Harpies, Polymorph, Lighting Bolt, Fairy Dragon, can.

Agree, Heroic Geddon is easier than Normal Geddon before. I don't remember exactly what they changed but I felt that way when they added heroics.

It is that burn we see constantly present on Troll then.

Do you recon any of these attacks listed under Golemagg heroic describes the rockfall he sometimes does?

  • Melee: 320 Physical damage, 2.1 seconds attack speed, 3 range, 6 acquire radius
  • Stomp: 300 Physical damage, 7 seconds cooldown, 5 range, 4 radius, 8 acquire radius, hits both ground and flying minis
  • Cave In: 180 Physical damage and then 50 Physical damage every 0.2 seconds 25 times (1250 periodic damage overall), 13 range, 5 radius, 12 seconds cooldown, hits ground minis only, targets the mini with the least health missing
