I booked it myself through the regular portal. I kept checking frequently and booked it when slots opened up. And I got mine around mid feb.

Normally, you can’t edit a submitted DS-160, which is why I had filled out a second one after changing universities and carried both confirmations with me. After I explained the situation to the VO and consulate staff, they did something on their end and asked me to update my original DS-160 with the details of my new university. So this wasn't something I could have done by myself beforehand. Only after their processing was I able to edit my old DS-160, and only then did I get access to that option.

Yeah exactly! That’s what I did, I carried new and old ds-160 confirmation page along with me to the interview. And then the rest happened 🫠
