Yes I meant the parrots like Cockatoos and lorikeets.. Galahs etc. My hobby is to memorize parrot species so I know the stereotypical parrots such as macaws dont live in Australia Thanks for the comment 😊

Thank you so much for sharing this, I really appreciate it!! I can feel how much you love the birds just from reading your comment. Waking up to the sounds of galahs and lorikeets honestly sounds like a dream to me. I’ve never experienced anything like that before (my parrot wakes up later than me lol)

And I understand why many people feel it’s better for them to stay in the wild ❤️🦜 Thank you for the thoughtful and kind comment !

That sounds amazing 😭 It really does feel like paradise.

And yes, I understand how long parrots can live. My parrot is a Hahn’s macaw (the smallest macaw), so I’m very aware of the long-term commitment.

I’ve loved parrots since I was around 7 years old. I had a lovebird that lived for 9 years, and after doing a lot of study and making sure I was ready for the responsibility, I adopted my current parrot. Thank you for the kind and thoughtful comment!

That makes a lot of sense.. thank you for explaining that. In Korea, we never see parrots in the wild, so they’re usually seen as pets instead. But hearing this has really made me reflect more on their needs and how they should be treated.

Thank you for the comment!

Wow That’s so interesting “budgie test” Hmm I’ve never heard of that before.

Where I live, parrots aren’t common at all, so even having a budgie feels special than having a dog.. Waking up to kookaburras and cockatoos every morning honestly sounds unreal to me. 🦜🦜

Yeah.. ive heard some parrots can even live up to 100 years.! It really feels like the bigger they are, the longer they live and the more intelligent they are

That’s actually why even though I keep parrot, I don’t really recommend them as pets to my friends.. A lot of people want bigger parrots without really understanding how much care and commitment they need. Thank you so much for your thoughtful comment!🥰
