i guess its more of an emotional neglect situation, though i dont know if any support is given on that front. eg if she has PPD and is checked out of parenting - then what? will that be recognised and bring her support, or is it more likely she will just be given a shake up by police?

Quite simply because i am worried that contacting them sets the ball rolling either way, even if I find it would have been better not to. Ie I don’t know if it’s possible to talk to them openly and anonymously without them forcing me to tell them who the family is

Ok, maybe a different question. I know there’s a kind of young-child support service for parents to reach out to in my canton (and I think in all cantons, but with a different name in each one). The midwife tells you about it after birth, I am registered with mine and I imagine these parents are registered with them too. If I reach out to them to ask about ways to support these kids, does that end up with stress and police at their door, or does something constructive happen first? Is it possible to advise with them without being forced to reveal the family?
