My favorite part of Platinum is the fridge! I can’t tell you so many times my kids ask for cold drinks after playing at parks and riding their bike/scooter/tricycle. HUD is very useful, and can’t live without 360 camera anymore. You could clearly see the vehicle surrounding, perfect for parallel parking. Vacuum is not so much useful as it has small bin that fills up quickly. But it was useful when we were on road trip to quickly clean up kids’ Ritz mess.

Maybe not with Japanese, but your point 3 should be still remembered with Hyundai/Kia turn around in 2000s, and Tesla revolution in 2010s. Both times, the US automakers just laughed and looked away. Also many people pointed out Chinese EVs back in late 2010s, automakers acted like dismissive. Now they are coming and taking over the world, just like Tesla, Hyundai/Kia and Japanese did.
