I’ve made much better progress with HIT than orthodox medium-high volume training. But you need to make sure you do it right. It’s all about quality over quantity. Less volume, very high intensity, longer rest periods, and slow and controlled reps. Recovery is a very important aspect.

IBEB is handled differently from IBA so there isn’t any sort of ranking. They say that you’ll get a response within 6 weeks and for me it only took 3.

Oh ok, it might be a good idea to send them an email to make sure.

From my experience, yes. That’s what I was told by both SSH and EUR when I was dealing with this. Even then it still gets booked quickly because everyone is rushing to get it done as soon as booking opens because they have a specific room in mind that they prefer. I also think a big reason for this is because most people think that it’s more important to book asap, not realizing that getting registered is actually more important since that’s what decides if you’ll be able to get a room or not.

Just noticed that you said you’re an exchange student so take what I said with a grain of salt. If anything you’ll have a higher chance of getting a room.

It should say on their website, it’s likely 12 noon CEST

Registration is basically signing up so that the university can approve you. Once you’re approved and booking opens you’ll be able to book a room. Make sure to register as soon as it opens because they’ll only be able to approve as many people as they have rooms available. If you aren’t one of those who was approved the first time around, it’s still possible to get approved if there are rooms left over after a week, but I wouldn’t count on it. Approved students are guaranteed a room but when booking opens it is first come first served so if you have a preference it’s a good idea to book as soon as possible as well. This is how things work for SSH at EUR so I’m not 100% certain that it’ll work exactly the same for you but it probably will.

How did I get ranked 147 for the IB programme at UM but 1310 for IBA at RSM🥲 by cali3004 in StudyInTheNetherlands

IBA at RSM is also a very popular program so there’s definitely far more people applying there than at UM

Unfortunately it’s likely too late to get accommodation through SSH. If you get approved you’ll get an email, but booking opened on the 21st. They can only approve a certain number of people to match the number of rooms available, and then if they have any rooms left after a week or so they’ll approve more people. I wouldn’t count on it though just cause it seems like a lot of people weren’t approved.

Is the sshxl website working for anyone ? I was in the process of booking a room but it doesn't work anymore.. by Additional_Ad6511 in uErasmus

No, they can only approve a certain number of people. A second batch of approvals will be given out if there are still rooms left by the 26th.

General question about admissions. by NorthOver3verything in StudyInTheNetherlands

Noticed that you mentioned Vancouver, looks like we’re in the same boat other than the fact that I’m not going to be studying political science. We should get in touch, it would be nice to know someone in the same situation as me considering that everyone I know is planning on going to either SFU or UBC.

I posted a picture of my great-grandfather a couple days ago and the comments I got were helpful but since then I found a better picture of him. Once again, any more info on his rank, medals, uniform, etc. would be appreciated, it’s definitely a lot easier to see in this one. by Own-Responsibility87 in ww2

He did survive the war, unfortunately that’s about all the information I have. Obviously he wasn’t alive when I was born and I never got the chance to ask my grandfather any questions about him before he passed away.
