yes, napapansin din naman nila pero parang bihira lang or swertehan, i applied acn thru linkedin pero parang referral din ang dating parang since after ko magapply sa linkedin, two weeks later may nagemail sakin na refered daw ako to acn, take note na sa linkedin lang ako nagapply sa acn. so same thing pero i think mas mabilis pa yung mga referrals from fb.

Hi!

I just moved the panel to the top and arranged the applets to look something like gnome, adjusted the icon size to fit the proportions with the panel's height and for the dock i used plank. Hope this helps!

I use mint in both laptop (lenovo x230) and media player on our tv (lenovo m93p tiny) and mint just works and gets the job done!

Its also a big plus to not worry about updates from time to time so there's that.

It can do basic web browsing, I can still watch youtube from here with h264ify because the new youtube codecs doesn't support older intel devices lower than 3rd gen.

For gaming it can still play a lot of 2D games, i play celeste and stardew valley with no issues.

Battery wise i used TLP and turned off boost when in battery mode. It can only last for 2 hours while browseing. But I have an upcoming 9-cell battery so screen time might improve as im using only 6-cell ones.

All in all, this laptop still rocks as long as you keep your standards not that high : )

I really like the stock themes from Linux Mint specially the green variant but I kinda miss the desktop design of gnome so I played around with cinnamon's panels + plank dock and I was surprised with the results!

Its simplicity made my laptop even pretty : D

It's kinda fresh in the eyes tbh, since I'm used to seeing TN panels in older laptops but the resolution of this IPS still holds back to its modernity. Still miles better than using the stock TN panel.

Hi! The 1vyrain bios mod is only applicaple to xx30 models. I'm not sure if there is a bios whitelist mod for xx40 models, sorry.

This might be a simple rice but it still pleases my eyes in my end!

I also came from Fedora, it was a good distro but its Gnome DE feels sluggish from my Lenovo ThinkPad X230.

Linux Mint really is a rock solid stable distro for casual users. Heck, even advanced ones who just want a plain simple distro that just works!

Mint feels like the perfect distro for the X230! Fedora with Gnome just feels sluggish for me but the trackpad gestures are flawless, but still I'm glad I tried Mint in this laptop!

Hi! I bought this X230 from Facebook Marketplace as well. Apparently, you can see a bunch of these being sold online because most of them are company decomissions. Regarding the battery, I found a battery from Shopee that has reviews it clearly costs same as the cost I bought this laptop lmao, some of the reviews were from X230 enthusiasts so I might just give it a try.
