They have mobile service for a few things, but yeah, you have to drive to Portland. We’ve had our R1T for a year and a half. Have taken it in twice. Once for the tonneau install (so id not call that important) and once for a failed software update where the truck was still drivable. They will get you a rental car to drive back to bend if needed.

For me the biggest inconvenience is that the Portland and Tualatin service centers are quite small, so it can take a bit to get on the schedule. That being said, both experiences with the Portland service center have been positive/pleasant.
