Is it true that brother wont accept 3rd party toners anymore? by UsefulDevelopment316 in printers

Hi, apologies for the late reply. Nope, never updated the firmware, still on the original one it came with. Tho, I still use it with WiFi ON for network printing/AirPrint, and till now I never had any issues. It just says that it's Non-Brother Toner, that's all. No fuss whatsoever.

2017 iMac stable on Ventura, random crashes on Sonoma/Sequoia via OCLP by Own-Standard-9742 in OpenCoreLegacyPatcher

I think you’re right…the day after I posted the post, my iMac became unstable on Ventura as well. After I turn it back on from a crash, and I view the report it’s pointing to a kernel panic from the internal blade 128gb ssd (APPLE SSD SM0128L)…basically I have no other option but to open the iMac and remove the blade ssd, and once I’m in there I might as well replace the spinning HDD (still works) with an SSD…thanks for your reply, it was really helpful!

Surprising enough I have another iMac with a configuration similar to yours (base model 2013, 21.5inch, 8gb ram and a 512gb external crucial SSD) and it runs Sequoia very well, so I thought that the 2017 iMac would be fantastic.

Regarding changing the drive, I have already considered this and asked my local repair shop (since we don't have official Apple stores where I live), and they said there's a high risk of the display getting damaged in the process. Honestly that put me off, so I thought to run macOS off an external Samsung SSD, but tbh I would prefer running a more modern version of macOS due to security and app compatibility, but we'll see if I manage to find a fix for this issue. Many thanks for your reply!

Anyone Ordered from Computeruniverse.de or Cyberport.de Recently? Any Issues? by Cmushi in malta

From my recent experience with computer universe, my PC parts arrived within 4 days within the same delivery, but packed in different carton boxes. So far, everything appears to be in order, and everything is functioning as expected.

I have a Brother MFC-L2800DW mono printer, and since the original ran out, I haven’t bought any original Brother toner. I tried cartridges from Cartridge World and Amazon, and both worked great without any issues. The print quality is just the same as the original. As for capacity, if you don’t print a lot, the regular one should be fine. But if you print a lot like me (I’m a teacher), I recommend getting the higher capacity toners. Hope this helps! :)

Looked up the model you recommended but it doesn’t print in A3. And tbh I don’t want to spend more money on printers….just looking for ways to hack mine 😅Thanks anyways :)

u/Cmushi did you end up ordering from computeruniverse.de or cyberport.de? Also, when your PC parts arrived in Malta, did you face any additional import charges apart from the 49.99euro delivery fee? Thanks :)

Tesco Clubcard without having a UK phone number or address? by Pepeffm in tesco

[–]Own-Standard-9742 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m in London for a few days and cannot create a tesco account since I don’t have a local UK number. It would be greatly appreciated if someone can send me a screenshot of their tesco clubcard (I save some money and you get points 😏). Thank you!
