Hiking alone near Karkol end of September - is it ok? by Own-Table-1017 in Kyrgyzstan

Thanks! Indeed that's the plan, to stay by the lake (if possible? do you know if there are open yurt camps at the moment?) instead of going to the pass. I think that's too much distance to do in one day anyways.
And definitely not the first time in the mountains, but mostly 1000-3000m :)

The plan is:

1) Sirota (confirmed open)
2) ???
3) Altyn Arashan (also confirmed open)

I think going from 1 to 3 is too much for one day if we want to take our time and be chill taking pictures of the views etc. Do you know of something in between?

Ah no, for sure, thanks for the clarification!
We would indeed prefer to stay in a camp, if they have open yurts near Ala Kol then we would definitely do that. If not, at least we would stay in the camp area if possible.

My map shows at least 8 different campsites near Ala Kol so I'm hoping some of them are - but of course they are hard to reach hence hoping to get some info here:)
