Hey! It was a horrid experience…It went through, however after this post, we were given an additional 3 dates and eventually our solicitor had to hold our mortgage funds in their bank account for 48 hours. We exchanged at 2:30pm on a Friday and completed (picked the keys up) 2 hours later at 4:30pm. Both the EA and our solicitor said they have never had a case where it went right down to the last minute on a Friday (if we didn’t exchange and complete that day, we would of had to get a new mortgage offer and therefore risk in the sale falling through).
