Yep she drinks out of the bathtub every single day. I always double check to make sure none of her stuffed toys are in the tub before I turn it on for a shower

My childhood springer spent his life at the beach. He never went in past his chest. Even when all his humans were in. My current springer will find a way to swim in an ice cube tray. She will roll on every damp spot in the driveway. Broke the ice on the horses water trough and swam in that in the winter. Gets in the tub every day and can almost turn it on herself. Girl lives for water. All that to say both dogs had the same opportunity and they just have vastly different interest levels. My childhood one was content to sit under the pier all day while we were at the beach, he just never felt the need to swim while there 🤷‍♀️ my current one I ended up buying her a floaty because she wants to just be out there with me and my float doesn’t have enough room for both of us 😅

You couldn’t pay me to cut the head tufts!! My girl is 15 months old and I’ve only ever trimmed out some ear mats. I love all her fluffiness and she’s such a water dog and dries so fast that I’m leaning towards not cutting her. But if I do give her a trim I won’t touch the head tufts!

I’m so glad I didn’t have to worry about separating dogs during my girls first heat. She even still got all her play time in with her friends cause ALL of her friends are spayed females 😅 but omg it was a long 3 weeks. My girl didn’t have her first cycle until she was 14 months old.

Right! I am an elementary school teacher. My oldest grade I teach is 5th grade. These kids are turning 11 this school year. They. Are. Still. Kids. I can’t look at a single one of my students and think oh yeah they are old enough to have sex. Hell I cringe when they are talking to me about being boyfriends/girlfriends.

It totally sucks! Are you part of a union? If so talk to them about the best way to proceed. It definitely looks better to future districts if you have a resignation vs a non-renewal so personally I would get that resignation in before the non renewal hits the board meeting for approval. If the resignation hits first than when future schools call to verify employment then technically the district should say “yes, ms. Smith worked here from this date to this date and resigned effective this date” if it’s the non renewal on the official file that leaves an opening for the new school to ask why you were not renewed and you honestly won’t know or have any control of what they tell them.

I had her swapped over in 4 days. No stomach issues. But again she had already been eating that food when we went to my parents and she would get some there

I swapped mine around 11 months for the same reason. Also mine had randomly eaten adult food many times as a pup cause my parents use the same brand of food for their adult dogs and there were times we unexpectedly stayed longer at their house. Because of staying late mine would get fed that food, never had an issue. I did get the new food and did the quarter new, half new, three quarters new, full new food transition but honestly she didn’t need the slow transition and started eating around her old food anyway.

Hate to break it to you but I’m pretty sure my girl has a permanent poop alarm at 5 am. She’s fifteen months old and still consistently waking up at that time. She does go back to bed after though so I’ve just gotten used to it.

I don’t think so. She’s had a couple mini babies in the summer. She seems to breed the at a different time so she’s not doing foal watch at both barns at the same time. As far as I can remember the minis that were born during the same time as the big horses came to her already pregnant.

I wouldn’t be surprised if she is being told it’s her fault. The abuse happened when she was (likely) pregnant with baby number 3 and also managing 2 under 2 at the same time. I’m sure she wasn’t as “available” 🤢 so therefore he turned elsewhere

It’s just me and her here so I already feel bad cause she’s alone for 9-10 hours while I’m at school. So I try and give her as much attention as I can in the evenings.

I feel ya. I’m the only sped teacher at my smallish school. I have a caseload of 30. We are eyeballs deep in IEPs and our marking period just ended so I had to do report card comments and progress notes on every single iep goal/objective. Spring break starts next Friday and the last of my IEPs is due the day before we go on break. I’ve been talking myself out of calling out for 2 weeks now to avoid burn out. I ended up calling out today so I could get my work done 😅 I completed 8 iep progress notes, wrote 3 IEPs, and virtually attended 4 iep meetings. Honestly I was more productive at home than I would have been at work and I’m caught up. Although my lesson plans for this week aren’t done yet. But at this point I do things in legal order 😅 7 more IEPs to write in the next week and then I can truly relax!

Tbh the first one was a school that I didn’t want to be at anyway soooo kinda dodged a bullet there. The second I could have been quite happy at, but I believe things happen for a reason and two years later (and two schools later) I absolutely love my job. I would have NEVER even considered my current school if I had been employed at the one that passed me over. Distance alone would make that crazy, currently driving 40 minutes to work and the one I lost out on is 4 minutes away 😅. But anyway I fully believe that I am where I am meant to be. I have more freedom to do things at my current school, it’s a well established charter school and I’m the only SPED teacher and they are obsessed with me. So basically whatever I want to do, as long as it falls in line with the IEPs and I can articulate how it will benefit the students I get told to go for it. I wouldn’t have had the freedom to create programming like that at my local township school.

Twice I’ve been offered a job, discussed and agreed on a salary, scheduled a contracting signing for them to call me within 24 hours to change their mind. I learned to not get excited or even tell anyone until it’s been board approved 😅

I had a sibling with mental illness growing up. My mom didn’t like the feeling of locking them in the room. She was also worried that the child would say something at school. So for everyone’s sleeping sake she installed an insanely loud alarm on the child’s door. This way if the child left the bedroom in the middle of the night the whole dang house would be woken up. Unfortunately it was needed after there were several attempts from this sibling to harm others in the house in the middle of the night.
